Renovations at
The "Church of God"
On SatL rday, people from The Church of
God congregations in London, Welland, Kit
chener, Toronto, Grand Bend and Blyth all
participated in both interior. and exterior
renovations to the church. Everyone sup-
plied their own equipment and they picnick-
ed outside on the lawn for their breaks.
After the church being "inactive" over
the summer months, the support , thus
evidenced by the other churches on Satur-
day, was a great encouragement to the
Blyth Congregation.
Services are to be held at 3 p.m. Sundays;
with speakers coming from Kitchener and
Owen Sound.
Monday Night Euchre .
There were eight tables at the euchre par-'
ty Monday night and it was proven just how
much one's luck can change from one week
to the next. High lady was Margaret Brooks;
from Goderich andhigh man was John
Hesslewood, who won the low -man prize last
week! Low lady went to RenaWatt, who had
been lady's high last, week! Maybe the
season plays a big part 'in this—being
Autumn, it's all in the way the cards FALL!
Men's low was Joe Holmes, with Ted
Fothergill Winning the men's most lone
hands. The ladies' most lone hands was won
by Marg. Nesbitt. Special prize was won by
Florence Roultzon. Cards will be played
again next Monday. night in the Memorial
Hall at 8 p.m. and everyone is welcome.
Eleanor Babcock, of Clinton, was one of many assisting with the renovations to The
Church of God in Blyth on September 28. Congregations of The Church of God from
Toronto, Welland, Kitchener and London were on hand to help. (Anne Narejko photo)
