Threshermen
R eunion
Buttons, (Rosemary Fitchett) and Sparkles (Mary Mills), were the always welcome
clowns at the Reunion. They were on hand to entertain the children and paint their faces.
Wayne Houston's 1923 16 horsepower
Waterloo (above) was put to work during
the Threshertnen's Reunion over the
weekend. Oper ting the saw was Ed
Williamson. of Parkhill. Another part of the
annual Threshermen's Reunion is the enter-
tainment and this year the Ontario Provin-
cial Police Pipes and Drums Band was on
hand to entertain the crowds. Below,
Yvonne Brewer gets in the threshermen
spirit during the log sawing competition.
Yvonne and partner Gayle Campbell, • both
of Wingham, cut through the log in 39.15
seconds. Tessa Steenstra was one of several
competitors in the Olde-Tyme Step Dancing
competition. Willard Colhoun entered the
bag tying competiton held on September 7.
Mr. Colhoun tied five bags in 39.71 seconds.

Dave Medd, of Blyth, brought his sign making hobby to the Threshermen's Reunion for
the first time this year. The craftsman has been making wooden signs for six yea$ .

Jim Sloan tackled the belt setting competition a couple times during the reunion. The
first time Mr. Sloan and partner Jack Arthur completed the task in two minutes and six
seconds.
