By Kathy Bromley
As fall is quickly approaching, (and I'll
vouch for that with the extreamly cool
temperatures we've been experiencing! )
numerous events have been held. For some
it has been finishing off the ball season or
just a good excuse to enjoy a corn roast.
School is back in progress and everything
can now get back to order for all mothers
(thank goodness! ). Principal Bill Black has
stated that there are 187 students registered
this year at Blyth Public School with 22 new
students in kindergarten.
With school back into the swing of things,
what goes arm -and -arm with it here in Blyth
but The Annual Threshermen's Reunion. It
will be held this weekend, September 6-8.
There will be numerous engines and
machines as well as many demonstrations
being held. The parade is schedueled for
1:00 beginning at Hubbord's Turnip Plant.
Come out and support an event that marks
it's 24th year. We need more people to come
out if we wish to continue this annual event
or it will slowly fade away. •
The Blyth Firemen will also be holding
another Pancake Breakfast. It will be held
Saturday and Sunday. Come out and enjoy
pancakes, sausages and pure maple syrup. .
