FARMERS' Convneiettner.-- A meet-
ing of the Farmers Association was
held in Millar's hall, Reuse% on Sat-
urday evening, March 14th, but owing
•to the unfavorable state -the roads

the railroads, that they are not what

anizer W. L, Smith, of Toronto, was
the next speaker called, and who,
after stating why tar. Annis, presi-
denb of the South York Farmers'
Institute, and. R.S.Pettypiece, M,P.P,
East Lambton, were unable to be
present, gave an address on Trans-
portation. Tax, and on other ques-
tions of special interest to farmers.
Thos. Brooks of Brant, being called
upon, gave a very interesting, amus-
ing and intellectual address on the
same line as Mr. Smith. After pass-
ing a number a resolutions the meet-
ing closed by singing "God Save the
King." The meeting adjourned to the
