Entries must be quilted by a group or an individual who is a member of a local
Agricultural Society.
Every quilt must be tagged with its entry number secured to it, before judging
begins.
Canada Packers will purhcase the winning quilt at the Annual Convention for
$700.00 and it will be added to the Canada Packers Quilt Collection.

GUIDELINES FOR CONTEST
1 Any recipe for foodstuffs may be used, provided that the recipe dates from
before 1900, and it is from a Canadian sources may include:
(A) Recipes published in Canadian cookbooks, household manuals,
newspapers, periodicals, almanacs or any other published source. •
(B) Unpublished recipes, for example, old, family recipes that were in use
before 1900. Please indicate where, when, and by whom they were used.
2 A copy of the original recipe and notation about its source and history must
be attached to the entry. Any other covering notes about the recipe or pro-
duct may also be attached.
3 A modern equivalent of the original recipe must be attached to the entry.
PROPOSED JUDGING CRITERIA POINTS
1 The Recipe 30
-has the Exhibitor indicated where, when, and by whom the recipe was
used
-does the recipe relate in some way to the history of Ontario/Canada
-has Exhibitor shown ingenuity in choice of recipe
2 The Product 20
-has the Exhibitor used the correct period ingredients (eg. ingredients that
were available at the time the recipe was used)
-is the product a success, according to the original recipe
