The single was That's When You Know its Over. Midnight Invitation went to the top 20 on the singles chart nationally and hit the top 10 in six cities across Canada. The follow-up single, That's When You Know It's Over became a top 15 national chart hit, while the album itself sat for three weeks at number one on radio station BX -93 in London. Terry Sumsion has recently signed a deal with Silver Dollar Records in Britain and has just completed his first video that will be primarily used in conjunction with the release of Midnight Invitation in the United States. The former truck driver and his band have appeared on shows such as Tommy Hunter, Family Brown Country, Live It Up and Nashville Now. They have appeared at several fairs and exhibitions and performed concerts with Loretta Lynn, T.G. Sheppard and Earl Thomas Conley. The fall of 1984 saw the band complete a successful six week tour that took them to 25 major cities. During that tour, Terry Sum- sion picked up the Golden Microphone fan award in Moncton as their most popular entertainer. He was also nominated for the Canadian country music award, Enter- tainer of the Year. Terry Sumsion was once asked who he fashioned himself after. He replied, "Myself. You don't get anywhere being a copy, only an original." He also said that may of the ideas for his early songs came during the quiet and lone- ly hours behind the wheels of his truck. "I can see and hear the first lines of a song in my head and from there it's `feel' that puts it all together for me," he said. Terry Surnsion and Stagecoach perform everything from love songs to swing, pro- viding what sho'ild be a good time for all who attend the Country Hop in Clinton.
