Clinton Lions jom
aster Seal
CLINTON - The Lions Club of Clinton is
busily preparing for the Easter Seal
Telethon to be held this coming weekend,
and will be broadcast live over Channel 8,
CKNX, commencing 8 a.m. Sunday, March
31.
Last year the people of Clinton and sur-
rounding area contributed generously to
this very worthwhile cause and Campaign
Chairman for Clinton, Steve Fraser, feels
that the $2,800 raised last year can be indeed
exceeded.
Mr. Fraser reports • that by giving to the
Easter Seal. Telethon, children in need con-
tinue to be provided with essential equip-
ment and rehabilitative services to help
them progress in life. This is a goal which
the Clinton Lions Club and the Society have
always been firmly committed to. Physical-
Telet Con
ly disabled children are different than
any other children. All they require is a little
more support and a little more
understanding from others. The people of
Clinton have always shown in the past that
they care about the quality of life for these
special children, not only in our community
but for more than 6,500 other Easter Seal
kids throughout Ontario. .
You may continue to do your part by mak-
ing your pledge on March 31, by calling the
Clinton Phone Centre 482-3926 between 8
a.m. and 6 p.m., Sunday. As was the case
last year, the Royal Bank.Branch in Clinton
will be the phone centre, and you may make
your pre -telethon pledges or donations at
any time, and following the Telethon you
may honor your pledge bymaking, payment
at the local branch.
