Switzerland, Austria and Italy at a special travelogue on March 17. The evening show- ing will be held at Hensall United Church for Fellowship Night. Other upcoming events include the Beef Barbecue on April 10. Tickets are available from all UCW members or at the church of- fice. At the March 10 United Church service, Rev. Stan McDonald spoke on the subject "Jesus our brother." His thoughts were directed to Matthew 13. , .Mindy Ball was the Junior Minister and she read the scripture. These organizations invite anyone interested to at- tend this event on March 20. At 1:30 at the OTownship Community Centre they will serve dessert and coffee. About ten games of euchre will follow. Money raised from this event will. be used to purchase' luncheon cloths for the Community Centre. The next sesquicentennial event will be held on Thursday March 28. This is a week later than originally printed in the Township calendar. The Enterprising Seniors will be sponsoring a trip to Schilbe's sugar bush. Anyone who wishes to tour the syrup opera- tion should be at the Township Community Centre at 2:00 p.m. Cars will be available to take groups of people to the bush. Queensway news The weekly bingo match at Queensway Nursing Home was cancelled last week due to stormy weather. However, two weeks ago, volunteers from the Hensall UCW Unit 3 took part in bingo. Volunteers attending were Susan Faber, Pat Love, Mildred McGregor, Carol Cooper and Mrs. Consitt. The Feb. 25 church service at Queensway was led by Rev. Jim Sutton, Ethel Forrest played the piano and Greta Lavender assisted with the service. The March 5 church service was led by Rev. Stan McDonald. He was assisted by Belva Fuss, Audrey Christie and 011ie Cooper. Feb. 27 was movie day and Buster Keaton films were featured. The ceramic club has been meeting each Wednesday morning. Volunteers are Judy Parker and Lil Baker. On March 1 Queensway residents were entertained with the music of Irvine and Coby Amraal. On March 8 musical enter- tainment was provided by the Mennonite Youth Fellowship. Their presentation was impressive and several small children sang a few songs of their own. Queensway residents look forward to their next visit. Kenneth Knight conducted the com- munion service at Carmel Presbyterian Church in Hensall on March 10. Carolyn Love presided at the organ. Hazel Corbett, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Corbett and Mr. and Mrs. Al Corbett and family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chaffe and family at Mitchell on Sunday. They celebrated Hazel's birthday.
