Two students attempt to make their trombones obey the directives of the conductor. Comedy thriller opens Thursday the play will move on for a week each, in Petrolia, Chatham and Owen Sound. This production of One Night Stand is directed by Keith Roulston, founder of the Theatre Circle ,and co-founder and former General Manager and Playwright with the Blyth Festival. The final polishing is being done on lines, the paint is drying on the set and the seats are being dusted for the opening night of the Theatre Circle's second season when One Night Stand is performed on Thursday, March 7 at 8:30 p.m. The comedy thriller by Carol Bolt has been in rehearsal since February 18 with the cast of Linda Bolen and Jeff Christensen honing the timing of both the comedy and the thrilling tension of the play. One Night Stand was the first big comedy -thriller hit in Canada when it was first produced in 1977 and has since been presented across North America, in Europe and in Australia. It was also made into a movie for television. The play tells a story of a young woman. whose friends desert her on her birthday so, in an act of rebellion, she goes out and br- ings home a stranger to her party and as the HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY The children of MERV AND EV FALCONER invite you to an OPEN RECEPTION in honour of their parents' 40th anniversary. After the performances in Blyth March 7, 8 and 9, Playhouse schedule in last stages The Playhouse, as most know, is located just outside Grand Bend on the Stephen/ B Line. In addition to a 600 seat theatre, the complex also includes a smaller cabaret styled theatre (150 seats) and a lobby with refreshment and concession booth. The Playhouse schedule is now being ,finalized for the summer of '85 and there are still some dates available when the facility isnot in full use. Because Huron Country Playhouse is a non-profit, community funded organization, it is hoped that local groups will take advan- tage of the complex.
