Music workshop
Students participated in a day long instrumental music workshop at Central Huron
Secondary School (CHSS) on Friday. Two students attempt to make their trombones
obey the directives of the conductor.
Comedy thriller opens Thursday
the play will move on for a week each, in
Petrolia, Chatham and Owen Sound.
This production of One Night Stand is
directed by Keith Roulston, founder of the
Theatre Circle ,and co-founder and former
General Manager and Playwright with the
Blyth Festival.
The final polishing is being done on lines,
the paint is drying on the set and the seats
are being dusted for the opening night of the
Theatre Circle's second season when One
Night Stand is performed on Thursday,
March 7 at 8:30 p.m.
The comedy thriller by Carol Bolt has
been in rehearsal since February 18 with the
cast of Linda Bolen and Jeff Christensen
honing the timing of both the comedy and
the thrilling tension of the play. One Night
Stand was the first big comedy -thriller hit in
Canada when it was first produced in 1977
and has since been presented across North
America, in Europe and in Australia. It was
also made into a movie for television.
The play tells a story of a young woman.
whose friends desert her on her birthday so,
in an act of rebellion, she goes out and br-
ings home a stranger to her party and as the

Playhouse schedule in last stages
The Playhouse, as most know, is located
just outside Grand Bend on the Stephen/ B
Line. In addition to a 600 seat theatre, the
complex also includes a smaller cabaret
styled theatre (150 seats) and a lobby with
refreshment and concession booth.
The Playhouse schedule is now being
,finalized for the summer of '85 and there are
still some dates available when the facility
isnot in full use.
Because Huron Country Playhouse is a
non-profit, community funded organization,
it is hoped that local groups will take advan-
tage of the complex. Catered meals can be
provided, or perhaps meetings followed by
theatre tickets. might suit your particular
group or organization:
Past events held at the Playhouse by local
organizations have proved most successful.
If your group requires further information
• please,call Heather Redick, 238-8387.
