Did you know...
that it is important to
have your dentures examined
regularly? Your mouth is one of
the most irfiportant areas of
your body, but often the most
neglected when dentures are worn. Improperly fitting or neglected
dentures can cause severe health problems. The lack of public
information regarding dentures is alarming and often leads to
problems and unnecessary expense. Your local denture therapist
(denturist) is a professional specializing in the construction, repair
and modification of dentures and provides this service directly to the
public. If you have problems with your present dentures or think of
getting new ones, see your local denture therapist, consultation is
usually free. You will find denture therapists (denturists) listed in
the yellow pages. This information is supplied through the Denturist
Association of Ontario and your Local therapist.

Courses to b€ held
"Meat Matters" adult short courses
covering buying and storage tips, nutri-
tional infoirnation and cooking suggestions
for Ontario beef, pork, veal and lamb, are
being sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of
Agriculture and Food.
The courses will be held all ovdr the pro-
vince during February and March and will
coincide, with a national campaign by the
Canadian Meat Council,, which has declared
February, "Meat Awareness Month".
Ontario livestock producers have changed
°reeding, feeding and management prac-
tices to respond to consumer preferences for
leaner cuts, without compromising quality.
"The short courses are designed to make
consumers aware that Canadian meat com-
position has changed in the last couple of
decades, with a definite trend to more lean
and less fat. Canadian nutrient values tables
are being updated to reflect these changes".
The two-hour courses ,ri11 feature a slide
presentation, fact sheets on meat cuts and
budget tips and cooking demonstrations us-
ing Ontario red meats.
The courses are conducted by the
ministry's rural organizations and services
branch staff and supported at the local level
by county and district affiliates of the On-
tario Cattlemen's Association, the Ontario
Pork Producers' Marketing Board and the
Ontario Sheep Association,
Corse admission is $3 and pre-
registration is not required. Check with your
