is a skating show without the costumes.
However, since there was a pop concert last
year, spectators will be treated to a carnival
in March. The theme has not yet been decid-

Brenda and Marg Dupee are the profes-
sionals at the Blyth Figure Skating Club.
Marg, who has been skating for 17 years, is
in her third year of teaching. She was also
introduced to figure skating by her mother
and continued because she enjoyed the
benefits the sport had to offer.
The Blyth Club is made up of .approx-
imately 60 members. They also participate
in a the local inter -club competition as well
as travelling to Delhi and Sarnia.
Members of the Blyth Club will be putting
on their skating carnival on February 22.
This year's theme is "It's a Small World."
"Skaters will be dressed in costumes
which represent other countries," explained

Troyann Bell -Cole, Pauline's sister, is the
senior coach at the club, assisting with the
skaters on Tuesday evenings.
Bayfield figure skaters are also given the ,
opportunity to show-off their skating skills
with an end of the year carnival. Last year
their theme was Ontario's Bicentennial, but
final plans have yet to be planned for- this
year's show.
The programs offered by the local fllgtue
skating clubs can help those who wilsshh to.
pursue figure skating as well as those who
want to learn how to skate before taking up
hockey or other such activities. Clinton,
