McGregor Christmas held

KIPPEN - Mark Savage is a patient in
Seaforth Hospital. Mark is having his feet
operated on. We wish him a speedy
recovery.
Mattie and Alex McGregor held their
Christmas on December 16 at the home of
Doug and Anne McGregor. Those present
were John and Mary McGregor, their
children Carol and Terry; Doug and Anne
McGregor, their children Brian and Bar-
bara; and Catherine and Eric Judge from
Strathroy and their children Heather, Jim-
my and Kathy Jane.
Absent from the gathering was John and
Macy's son Lave who was still in Seaforth
hospital recovering very well from his acci-
dent two months ago. We hope you'll conn be
able to come home, Dave, and be with your
family.

Pastor Don Moffat presided in the pulpit
on December 16 when St. Andrew's Church
celebrated the lighting of the Red Advent
Candle, red being the colour which
represents The Holy Spirit. A special
Christmas. Story;"The Cradle" took the
place of a sermon.
The choir is reminded of a special combin-
ed choir practice of Brucefield and Kippen
choirs at Kippen Church on Thursday
December 20, time 7:45 p.m. This is to
prepare for the Christmas Eve Service on
Sunday December 23 at 7 p.m. at Kippen
United Church.
Deer and vehicle collide
• (;OI)P',RLCI1 '1'WP. - Ontario Provincial
1'ol.ice' estimated $600 damage was. done to a
vehicle' involved in a collision with a deer.
Frank Radford, 50, of Clinton was
eastbound ,on County Road 13 about two
kilometres east of Highway 21 when he.hit
the deer. The Clinton man did not suffer any.
injuries in the accident.
Road conditions were cited as the reason
for a two vehicle collision on Highway 4, 2.4
kilometres south of Vanastra Road.
On Dec. 14, at 9:15 a.m., the vehicles of
Rosemary Crawford, 39, of Port Elgin and
Thang Tran, 27, of Clinton, were both pro-
ceeding southbound, when the Tran pick-up
truck attempted to pass the Crawford vehi-
cle. The wind and ice caused the collision.
Goderich OPP report that $800 damage
was done to the' Crawford car and $1,000
damage was inflicted on the Tran vehicle.

Sunday Schoolers
lead service
at Brucefield
United news

At the December 16 Bi ucefield United
Church service, the Sunday School pupils,
under the direction of Beth Cooper and their
teachers, led in the service.
Donna McBeath played the piano and the
organist was Barbara Livermore.
The December 23 Christmas service will
be. held at 10 a.ni. At 7 p.m. that evening a
candle lighting service will be held at St.
Andrew's United Church in Kippen.

Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hill and Adam have
moved from Brantford into the Robert Allan
house.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Scott spent the weekend
with Mr. and Mrs. Ron Scott and son' in
W illowdale.
Annie Paterson and Cheryl of London
visited on Sunday with Mrs. Edna Paterson.
Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan
Wightman on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs.
Charlie Brigham, John Brigham, Mr. and
Mrs. Chris Brigham and Carrie and Jason
Britton from Sarnia and Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Brigham and girls from Blyth.
