Centennial College in co-operation with
the Ontario provincial government's
Ministry of Energy and Ministry of
Consumer and Commercial Relations.
The objectives are to train personnel to
perform propane vehicle inspection
competently in the interest of public
safety and consumer confidence and to
complete the examination successfully
to be certified as a propane vehicle in-
spector.

Basic Servicing And Repair Of
Small Engines S
This is a practical course for the
person who wishes to diagnose prob-
lems and make repairs to all types of
small engines. Students may work on
their own small engines in class with

Advanced Servicing And Repair
Of Small Engines S
Prerequisite to this course is the Basic
course or its equivalent. This is a
practical course and students may
work on their own small engines in
class with the assistance of the instruc-
tor.' Students will receive advanced
instruction on carburetors and over-
hauling engines similar to the Basic
course.

HORTICULTURE
Interior Plants S
This course will familiarize the students
with proper maintenance and care of
interior plants. Each session will in-
clude an intensive study of ten popular
houseplants highlighting conditions ,for
optimum plant growth and vigor. Appli-
cation of knowledge learned in the
session will be reinforced by a practical
horticultural workshop period. Also vi-
sual aids and live specimens will be
provided.

Conestoga College; Waterloo Campus,
in co-operation with the KW School of
Horticulture is offering a series of
courses for the serious student of
horticulture and floriculture. All courses
will carry credit toward the General
Horticulture Diploma or the Floriculture
Diploma from the 'K -W School of Horti-
culture. Students should expect to
purchase books and supplies for each
course the amount will be specified at
the beginning of the course.
Floral Design
This course is designed specifically for
students who wish to enter the career
of floriculturist.
The following areas will be covered:
The principle of design, colour, har-
mony and balance, wiring design tech-
niques, care and handling of cut flow-,
ers, criteria needs for making
successful table arrangements and cor-
sages, the wedding, the memorial and
special flower design modules, custom
traditions, structures and silk flower ar-
rangements.
This course is the first of four 10 week
courses totalling 240 hours. The three
remaining modules will be offered at
the conclusion of the first module if
student demand is sufficient.

Residential Gardening
The course offers the student or home
owner an understanding of residential
gardening and landscaping needs. The
following areas will be covered: soil
cultivation, fertilizers, Fall care of
plants, lawn care, plant seeding, trans-
planting, general Fall clean up. This is
a practical course in residential garden-
ing.

The following courses have been de-
signed to give you a general knowledge
in • maintaining your home or cottage.
They are not intended to make trades-
person out of the students, but provide
you with the basic skill and knowledge
necessary in making repairs or alter-
ations.
Supplies are not included in the fee.
Students must consult with instructor
regarding cost of individual projects.
Finish Carpentry And Cabinet
Making 1 S
This is a practical course in Finish
Carpentry and Cabinet Making. Stu-
dents will build their own projects.
Material cost is extra.
