Miller, carriage 500 yards regular 5c. and 6c. per Ae yard towellings for maker, captured some first prizes an • d special ones at the Exeter, Zurich and Seaforth fairs for buggies and other exhibits.— Special services were held in the Methodist and Presbyterian churches last Sabbath it, being "children's day" in the former the Rev, Mr. Ayers, superanuated minister, of London, conducted ser- vice in tke morning with very much acceptance. In the afternoon a mass meeting was held in the church when excellent music was discoursed including violin selections by Miss McBroom, of London, and in ad- dition to the regular address of the pastor the Rev. Dr. Medd, short ad- dresses were given by Messrs. J. W. Ortwein, James Clark, J. C. Stoneman, F. Blatchford, and S. Neelands, The church was beautifully decorated with flowers and the attendance was very large. In the evening the church was again filled to its utmost capacity and a very interesting song service was held; Miss McBroom again giving violin selections, which were much en- joyed. The service in the Presbyterian church was largely attended both morning and evening. The service by the children being held in the morning the music by the choir and also by the children being very much appreciated. The church was also beautifully decor- ated with flowers. At the evening service a quartette by Messrs: 'Ruse and Smillie, and hiss Jennie Murray iandMiss McAllister was wellrendered. The ceremony was largely addressed. to young men. We have this week to announce the death of Miss Jennie Follick, eldest daughter of Mr. David Follick, of this village, which occurred on Tuesday last after a very long and painful illness. Funeral services will be conducted in the Methodist church to -clay (Thursday) at 1.30 p.. m,, after which the remains will OR interred in the Fansville cemetery.
