The cry for cars is beginning to be
heard in Manitoba from many country
points. Some points are asking that
United States cars be supplied and
shipment made via Duluth, if Canadian
cars cannot be supplied. The fine
weather and gnod roads enable the
farmers to deliver the wheat freely,
and in many cases the wheat is taken
straight from the separators.
Tinier] the Toronto Globe deserts the
Ross Government it goes without say-
ing that the end of that Administra-
tion is regarded by the organ as not
far off. It is true. as the Globe now
confesses, that Mr, Ross has no spe-
cial policy, It is equally true that
Federal Liberals need not support him
on Federal grounds. It is also a fact
that the province will not suffer -when
the Ross Government disappears, but
on the contrary. will go on as well as
ever, and no doubt better than ever.
But while all this is admitted it does
not follow that the cure for deadlock
is a Government Representative of no
principle, and for which the people
have not. called. A "no -principle
Government would suit the exploiting
influences. But it would not serve
the people, and, therefore, tbe electors
at the by-elections. seeing that the
case for Mr. Ross has been given up
by his council in the press, roust take
care that a strong Whitney Govern-
ment is returned. -Mail -Empire.

It is not altogether because these
things ore • unknown, that so many
farmers eacli year are waiting for the
new crops to ripen, but rather on ac-
coant ot miscalculation. Insufficient
quantities are kept in store to last un-
til complete ripeness of the text crop
takes place. Sinee the interest of the
money invested in sufficient oats to
last the average feeder three months
is but small part of the value of old
as cotnpared with new grain, it is sur-
prising how few take advantage' of
this profitable feeding.
Oats, if threshed early and kept in
bins, are seldom fit for use until
frosty weather has come, When kept
in stacks or in a barn for several
weeks before threshing; complete ripe-
ness is reached more quickly. Consid-
ering the importance, therefore, of
having oat properly seasoned. those
who have not, now a good lot in store
should see to it that, one year hence
better business management will have

and Suffering,
Paine,s Celery ' Compound has
wrought marvellous cures for suffer-
ing men and women in every section
of the Dominion. It has the indorsa-
tion of the best men and women in
Canada, because they have found the
great remedy to be exactly what was
claimed for it. Score.,of prominent
clergymen have gratefully- .written in
its praise,' and recommended it av.ben
they have opportunity, Rev. J. D.
Leishman, of Angus, Ont., gives his
own personal experience as follows:
"I have always found Paine's Celery
Compound an excellent nerve tonic,
and have frequently recommended it
to persons suffering from nervous de-
bility and sleeplessness. I believe it
to be a most powerful medicine. It also
purifieb the blood and revives the sys-
tern. Give it a fair trial and it will in
these cases be found helpful."
