Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend.
Eric House -and Libby Morris, the lone
cast members in this play directed by Ron
Ulrich, are nothing short of superb in their
roles. They portray the cynical Weller
Martin and the weary Fonsia Dorsey,
residents of a dilapidated old -folks' home.
Since neither of them ever has any visitors,
they retreat to the porch each Vistors' Day
to play gin rtunmy.
At first, Fonsia doesn't know how to play
gin and isn't particularly keen on learning.
Once she does learn however, she cannot
seem to stop winning—even when she tries
to. This really grates on Weller's nerves and
that's where the hilarity begins.
From here on, it's a battle of the sexes and
Weller, the veteran card player, becomes
obsessed with trying to win. The more he
plays, the more he loses his temper and
eventually, he brow -beats Fonsia into
fighting back and using language as foul as
his own.
Conversation during each card game tells
us about past regrets of both characters and
also about some of the problems which exist
in old -folks' homes.
Cleverly written by D.L. Coburn, THE
GIN GAME is a play which makes you laugh
and think at the same time.

prollption, with lets of attentionto detail.
THE GIN GAME is my personal favorite
of all the productions mounted at the
Playhouse so Jar ,this season. It runs. until
August 25 • and will be followed by ,the
Musical, AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' which opens
August 28 for a three week run to close the

Western fair plans
top entertainment
In 1983, for the first time, Western Fair of-
fered grandstand audiences a top-notch
package of acts direct from the entertain-
ment capital of the world - Las Vegas.
Response was so positive that the format is
being repeated this year and "Vegas Piz-
zazz" will bring sparkling Las Vegas -type
entertainment to London once again. Five
electrifying acts are including in the fast -
paced 90 -minute show.
Danny Gans is everybody. The
impressionist -comedian -singer -actor has a
repertoire of about 100 impressions, ranging
from Presley and Diamond to Anka and
Sinatra, from Wolfman Jack and Mr. T to
Kermit, Miss Piggy and EN. His elastic
voice and mirror -perfect mannerisms have
earned him standing ovations at clubs, fairs
• and concert halls thronghout the continent.
The Footlockers are a trio of young
breakdancers from Los Angeles. They were
finalists on the nationally -syndicated televi-
• sion show, Star Search, and their co-
ordination, deatergyi and originality will
leave local audiences amazed. Action and
excitement Rot* tht Footlockers' non-
stop show.

unnerve him) will astound and mystify &tic'
his stories will captivate the imagination.
Garrey and Tornio are ventriloquists 0-
traordinaire. Their unique comedy presen-
tation is unlike any act seen on this conti-
nent. Their quick wit and unusual props add
to the fun as their presentation builds to
climactic finish that will leave unsuspecting
fairgoers gasping in laughter and astonisli-
ment.
The dazzling choreography of the Circuit
Breakers will be spotted throughout the Pro-
duction of "Vegas Pizzazz". The
beautifully -costumed troupe features 12
lovely chorus girls in lively routines.
Master of ceremonies is the versatile and
funny Paul Lennon. Lennon has opened
shows for major stars from Los Angeles to

Rogers, -Bob Hope and Andy Williams.- His
fresh, family -flavoured approach to coined),
is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
