provincial speed records for her division to capture three gold medals and one silver,
while team mate Callum Robinson, 11, won three bronze medals and silver. Tricia is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Kelly and Callum is the son of Mr, and Mrs. Gerald

Holmesville seniors
visit museums

HOLME VM TELE - Worship Service was
held at Holmesville United Church on Sun-
day morning with Rev. Bechtel in charge.
Jim Lobb and Wayne Tebbutt collected the
offering.
The Goderich Township Enterprising
Seniors enjoyed a day, trip by Sherwood Bus
to the Halton County Radial Railway
Museum and to the Ontario Agricultural
Museum in Milton. While there the ladies
enjoyed viewing the Bicentennial Quilts
display of 144 quilts, while the men enjoyed
looking at the old machinery. On the way
home everyone enjoyed a rib and chicken
dinner at Angie's Kitchen in St. Agatha.
Jack Norman and son Geoff of Walnut
Creek, California are visiting with Jack's
parents, Charlotte and Bill Norman for two
weeks.
Dot Door at 3 p.m: at the Clinton Community
Centre on July 9. This entertainment is

Outing to Dunburn Castle
Twelve members of the Bayfield Lioness
.accompanied by some 30 otherladies from,
the village.enjoyed ariinteresting bus tip on
June 18.
The first stop was, a shopping mall, and
then the party went on. to visit Dundurn Cas-
tle. Exploration of the gardens was curtail-
ed because of rain, but the party proceeded
to Dundas where they visited green houses.
To culminate the .enjoyable excursion a stop
was made in Cambridge for dinner. It was
generally agreed that this was an excellent
trip by all who participated.
Dr. Wm. R. Cantelon received honour
degrees and was awarded the. Clubine
Memorial award for research when he
graduated at the 39th convocation of the
Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College on
May 6. The graduation exercises were held
at the University of Toronto, .followed by the
dinner and ball at the Royal York Hotel,
Toronto. He was also successful in passing
the Canadian Board Exams and also the
American and Provincial Exams. Bill at-
tended Central Huron Secondary School,
Clinton, before entering University of '
Waterloo, where he received his Honours
degree in Kinesiology. After working for a
year as a Kinesiologist at the Bluewater
Centre for the Handicapped he entered the
Chiropractic College. A dinner was held in
his honour at the Bayfield Village Inn with a
social evening following . at his parents
home, George and Doris Cantelon, RR:.4,
Seaforth. Dr. Cantelon, his wife JoAnne and
little son Reece plan to take up residence in,
Woodstock where he will open his practice.

Baseball action
Goderich teams were Holmesville's tough
competition last week. The midget boys,
bantam girls and mixed mites all lost to
Goderich teams in baseball action. The
peewee boys defeated Auburn.
The Holmesville and Porter's Hill Slo-
Pitch teams played in a Londesboro
tournament and lost.

Louis Taylor was admitted to hospital in
Goderich on Friday.
il1 Tyalor had surgery in University
Hospital last Wednesday and is expected
home shortly.
The Bluewater Rest Horne needs old nylon
hose and pantyhose for craft work. They
may be left at Goshen Church for Margaret
Elliott to pick up.

BRUCEFIELD - The outdoor service for
the Brucefield and Kippen United Church
was held in Brucefield on June 24.
Don Moffat led the service and spoke
about farming .and outdoor living. The
combined choirs sang two anthems with
Barbara Livermore at the piano.
After the service, lunch was served and
sports competitions were held.
This Sunday, July 1, Rev. James Bechtel
from Wesley Willis United Church in Clinton
will officiate at the communion service.

MIDDLETON — Morning Prayer was
held in St. James' Anglican Church on Sun-
day morning with Rev. Geo. Youmatoff in
charge. Ralph Welsh received the offering.

Townshend on being elected Suffragan
Bishop for the Anglican diocese of Huron..
Congratulations to Vicki and Paul Mid-
dleton on their marriage Saturday at St.

'STANLEY TWP. - A Milton man escaped
serious injury on June 24 when the car he
was driving left the road and landed on its
roof.
The Goderich OPP reported that George
Blasko, 35, of Milton was westbound on
Sideroad 15 of Stanley Township when the
accident occurred.
Mr. Blasko escaped 'received minor
injuries in the ,mishap. His 1977 Jaguar
received $4,500 in damage.
