He does not appear to be the successful rocker that he is - he seems more of the type that listens to old Turtles' LPs on the weekend, maybe a little Elvis. Who would suspect that this man is responsible for the eyebrow -raising song, I Want a New Drug? However, with a few listehings of Sports by Huey Lewis and the News it all falls into place. The down-to-earth love songs (often jazzy) have a relaxed, laid-back sound, like Bad is Bad. For this reason, Sports will appeal to the fans of early blues/jazz rock 'n roll. In this revival era of rock (with bands like the slick Stray Cats) the almost Tuckersmith, set for summer TUCKERSMITH - Bored? Not anymore! Do something interesting one or two days a week during holidays at Tuckersmith Townshp Three Bears Summer Playground Program. The Vanastra Rec Centre is sponsoring a playground program from July 2 to August 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Vanastra on Mondays; in Egmondville on Tuesdays and Varna on Thursdays. Bus trips are scheduled to Grand Bend on July 10 to see magician Brian Glow and to visit the Pineridge Zoo. On July 25 a trip has been scheduled to Canada's Wonderland and on August 8 tours will be made to the Doon Pioneer Village, the Leslie Cheese House and McDonald's kitchens. A bus will travel to the Ontario Science Centre on August 22. Heat 'n Soul, I Want a New Drug, (actually a cleverly written love song) and Heart of Rock . 'n Roll have received airplay. Band members Huey Lewis, Mario Cipollina, Johnny Colla, Bill Gibson, Chris Hayes and Sean Hopper perform well, but there is room for improvement.
