The sounds of drums and horns, cheers and laughter could be heard
throughout Clinton on Saturday when thousands of people lined the
streets of town to watch the fourth annual Klompen Feest parade.
Young Klompen Dancers showed that they too value the heritage of their Dutch families.
Fred Lobb and Whiskey Jack played to a Saturday night dance, attended by more than
750.
Even the young came out, dressed in Dutch.
Mary Lynn Telford's Scottish Dancers from Goderich took part in the
Saturday afternoon show.
More than 100 entries were featured in the Klompen Feest parade.
Schools, clubs, businesses and industries all took part in the
colossal event.
