CLINTON- - On April 24 at the general
meeting, the followingslate of of,Beer,ll: were
voted in for the 19season; President,
George Lazon; ist Vice President, Gordon-
Tait; 2nd Vice President, Don Aarrnnstrong;
Secretary, Mary Brown; Treasb rer, Rol
Wheeler; Sgt. at Arms, George Yeats; the
Executive chairmen, Harold Black, Eric
Switzer, Noel Flagg, Doug Coventry, Percy
Brown and Garnet Harland.
There were only 25 members ppresent to
vote your committee into office. On May 25
these comrades will be installed by a team
from Goderich so please attend.
The Bingo winner for April 16 was Mildred
Cook - for the week of April 23 there were
two winners: Edith Burgess and Tony Hart-
man.
There were two new members initiated in-
to the Legion: Comrades Allen Yeats and
Michael Gibson.
A, conation of $50 was donated to Huron
County Epileptic Society and $100 was
donated to District CL's Vets Hospital Fund,
$250 was donated to the Legion Charitable
Foundation.
On April 28 at the Clinton Legion the
District Seminar held a meeting and the
ma subject was Track and Field. This will
invove local school students.
On May 16 there will be a Blood Donation
Clinic to be held at the _Huron Secondary
School.
On May 11 and 12 the Provincial Euchre
final$ will be hosted by the Clinton Legion.
There will be a dance Friday night played
for by The Huron Ramblers. Help will be
needed from the members so if you have a
free hour come and pitch in.
Our Spring Golf Tournament will be
around May 27 at the Sunset Golf Club -
watch for more information.
Your prayers are requested for Comrade
Jack Cree who died this month.
Donations during the past year amounted
to $3,925 along with 200 pairs of glasses to
the, Blind Mission and a refrigerator to
Huronview, free use of hall to Brownies and
various charitable organizations.
