Harold Knight has assumed the dudes of
chairma.n and he conducted tha. meeting.
Reports from the various; committee
heads indicated that a great deal of work
has been done. Sale of tickets for the
barbecues, dances, and opening ceremonies
are picking up so anyone wishing tickets: are•
advised to purchase them soon. The. ti,kets
on the Honda ATCs are also available at
several outlets on main street. Be sure to get
yours before they are all gone. Parade entry .

Murray Baker outlined the 'sports events
which will include the South Western Arm
Wrestling Championships, Girls Slow Pitch,
Tug of War, Earth Ball Competition,
Horseshoe Pitching, A Gun Shoot and the
1960 Hensall Champion Bantam Ball Team
will be together again for a game.
Entries are coming -for the craft and anti-
que show and sale. Anyone wishing to enter
only one or two articles may put them in a
Community Booth by contacting Mrs. Mary
Buchanan at 262-2123.
The Sunday Church service will feature
Rev. Bob Passmore as minister along with a
choir consisting of present and past choir
members of the Hensall Churches. There
will be a practice for the choir on June 10 at
3 p.m.
If you,wish to rent a room to visitors for
Centennial weekend call, 262-2029 and leave
your name.

KIPPEN - The Kipper Quilting Bees and
the Kippen Calico Kittens 4-H clubs attend-
ed the 4-H Achievement Night on April 26.
Congratulations to Kippen three leaders
Eileen Townsend and Joyce Wilson who
were presented with their five year Leader
Awards. See you in the fall for the "Fitness
Fare" club.
Kevin Diamond of Niagara Falls spent the
weekend with the Hoggarth family. Kevin
and Paul Hoggarth both attend Mohawk Col-
lege i iHamilton.

Pastor Don Moffat presided m the pulpit
on April 29. The ministry of music was
presented with the choir singing and Hank
Binnendyk singing a solo, accompanied by
Mary Moffatt at the organ. Pastor Moffat
based his sermon on "God Still Loves our
Church".

played through amplified speakers.
Everyone was delighted with the antics of
the colorful puppets doing their thing. Time
ran out far too soon, and at the close of this
fantastic program, Myrtle Fairservice
thanked the guests, who were later
presenting a concert at Huron Chapel,
Auburn. Reverend David Thiessen, pastor
of Huron Missionary Church, Auburn,
accompanied the group and introduced
them.
• Huronview extends a warm welcome to
Mrs. Margaret Ann Primeau of Seaforth,
who has come to reside at Huronview.
Sunday morning worship was held in the
chapel, ' with Reverend Norman Pick
conducting. During the service, Margaret
McQueen sang a solo.

Ladies from the P:'
started off the week
activities by joining Queensway residents
foxy bingo on Monday afternoon.
OfTuesday morning the residents had the
opportunity to get together to do some
crafts. In the afternoon Rev. Kenneth
Knight/was in to conduct worship; along to
assist at the piano was Mrs. Dorothy T-aylor.
'WeOnesday proved- to be Horticulture Day
at the home as plants needed some doctor-
ing and cuttings were taken to start some
new plants.
On l'hursday afternoon a trip to the Grand
Canyon was taken as a movie on it was view-
ed by the residents. In the evening several
ladies from the Zurich Mennonite Church
came to lead the residents in a hymn sing.
Friday morning residents made the week-
ly trip to the Zurich bowling lanes. Lloyd
McDougall was the high man bowler with a
score of 119. Erna Schroeder was the highest
lady with a score of 74.

Mrs. A.W. Shirray returned last week
after spending the winter months. in St.
Petersburg Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. John O'Connor of Exeter
have taken up residence in the Northcrest
Apartment in HensalL
Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Chipchase have
returned of their home in the .Northcrest
Apartments after spending the winter mon-
ths in Florida.
Mrs Jack Corbett returned home after

law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Chaffe andfa ly at Mitchell.
Rev. Kenneth Knight .ebnducted worship
service onSunday. yrs. Murray Key presid-
ed at the organ. A carload of PCW attended
the sin Odical held in Wingham last week.
The PCW will meet May 7 at 8 p.m.
Mr. Doug Mann who has been a patient in
University Hospital, London was able to
return to his home last week.

last Friday visiting with her mother Mrs.
Laird Mickle and aunt Mrs. Florence Joy*
and they all enioved the luncheon at The

Club enjoys swimming
The Couples Club of Hensall enjoyed an
evening of swimming and fellowship on
Thursday evening at Pinedale in Grand
Bend. The next meeting will be held on May
24.
A large congregation heard more about
Venture In Mission Program at the United
Church on Sunday morning. Mr. McDonald
spoke on the theme as well as showed the
film on Ventures In Mission which il-
lustrated the needs of the church. The choir
sang an anthem. The ushers for the service
were Tim Row'cliffe, Rod Parker, Steve
Gerstenkorn and Steven McGregor.
Margaret Cole greeted the congregation.

the General Phase of the Venture In Mission
Program.
The Sunday School at the United Church
held an interesting assembly on Sunday
morning with the theme of Easter. The Sun-
day School continues to plan for their Pro-
motional Sunday on June 3 when they will be
worshipping around the theme of "Living
and Working Together" the theme for the
Town and Centennial. Two of the teachers
are writing a chancel Drama for this special
Centennial Promotional Sunday.
Rev. McDonald attended the 50th wedding
anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Orval Harrison
at Listowel on Saturday evening.
