On Apru 5 the l;nterprising Seniors will meet in the Community Centre at 2 p.m. The fourth meeting of the Nifty Needlers 4-H Club was held at Shannon Preszcator's on March 19. Members opened the meeting with the pledge and nine members answered the roll call. Members worked on their project, Moon Over the Mountain, The fifth meeting was held at Nina Potter's place on March 26. Leaders showed how to make pot holders and pillows from quilting samples. They also helped the girls with the completion of the Moon Over the Mountain samples. The Goderich OPP reported . that on March 23, Luanne Morden, 17, of Vanastra received major injuries in a Highway 4 accident. Another passenger, Susan Beach, 27, of Vanastra received minimal injuries, while the driver, Patricia Cook, 20 of 161 Huron St., Clinton escaped uninjured. OPP reported that the Cook car was southbound on Highway 4 when it veered into the ditch and struck a tree. The Clinton Police department reported one major accident in Clinton last week. Police Chief Lloyd Westlake reported an accident at the intersection of Huron and Erie Streets on March 25 that resulted in $900 in damages. Chief Westlake said a 1984 Oldsmobile driven by David Bartliff, 27, of 61 Whitehead St. Clinton and a 1978 Ford driven by Robert Blake, 22, of RR 2 Clinton collided at the intersection. No injuries were reported, but damage to the Bartliff car was estimated at $400, while damage was set at $500 to the Blake vehicle.
