After opening the meeting with the pledge, the members answered the roll call with a name of a traditional quilt design. The design for the .covers -of the books was - discussed as was the . exhibit for achieve- ment night. The leaders discussed different ways to finish the quilting samples for special projects. The leaders marked some of the samples before the meeting was dos- ed with the motto. Mannings dump Baintons In Blyth Industrial Hockey League action Sunday night, Mannings dumped Baintons 9-3 to take the first game of the finals. The teams were deadlocked at one after the first period, but Manning scored five unanswered goals in the second period, and coasted to an easy win. Wayne,McDougall led Mannings with four goals, Brian Black added two and singles went to Dave Pletch, Kevin Carter and Gary Courtney. - Bainton scorers were Don Shiell with two and Larry Robinson.
