features of fly reels at twice that price, plus
a couple of extras.
The System One reel comes in two sizes to
meet all freshwater fishing needs. The
Model 456 will hold up to a DT -6-F fly line
and 50 yards of backing line and the, Model
789 will take up to a DT -9-F fly line and 25
yards of backing line. This extra backing
line capacity was achieved by designing the
reel wider rather than bigger, - a great
weight savings.
Like many high priced reels, the System
One reel is made of light -weight aluminum
alloy and is designed to balance well with all

ches and chips while providing a handsome
appearance.
The drag system features a double click
pawl drag that adjusts to the angler's type
of fishing. From light tippets for browns, to
.heavier leaders far large salmon and steel
head, the drag can`be adjustedto exert just
the right amount of pressure. For added •
control, the reel also features a palming
rim.
A special feature on all System One fly
reels is a counterbalanced handle which
prevents reel wobble when a big fish is runn-
ing and provides additional smoothness.
This is the kind of attention to detail and
thought out design which makes the System
One reel such a welcome introduction.
Perhaps best of all, because extra System

can economically build a whole system of
floating, sinking and floating/sinking fly
lines to meet all fly fishing conditions. In
fact,• -for the price of one expensive fly reel,
an angler can buy a System One fly reel, an
extra -Spool, and two fly lines:
