cream cones on Feb. 29. In spite of the
wintry weather, ice cream still proves to be
a popular sweet treat for the residents.
On Thursday afternoon the Salvation

music and song. Captain Will led the session
and a good attendance of residents enjoyed
the program.
World Day of Prayer was observed in
many areas on Friday. At Huronview the
service was held under the direction of the
Clinton Christian Reformed Church. The
theme was Living Water From Christ - Our
Hope and Helen Bradley and Mabel Scott of
Hi..ronview took part.
On Friday afternoon, residents enjoyed

Rev. Norman Pick conducted the Sunday
worship service at Huronview. The choir
sang a special anthem and baskets of
flowers were placed in memory of the late
Goldie Carter of Clinton. He was the brother
of Levi Carter, a Huronview resident.

WINGHAM - Ontario's 200th birthday will
be',celebrated with the jointparty in
Windham and Turnberry Township.
The municipalities will mark the
province's bicentennial with a big.
celebration • from July; 19-22,to, run in
conjunction with Wingham's annual
Western ,Hoedown.
Organizer Shirley Walker said the
bicentennial celebration would . run on a
much bigger scale than the Hoedown, but
not quite as large as Wingham's own
centennial celebration of five years ago.
Old fashioned displays, live
entertainment, a flea market, baby show
and a giant drumhead service will be
included in the fun. The Legion will also be
holding a reunion the same weekend.
Hoedown favorites will include an opening
night variety concert, , beauty contest,
sidewalk sales, slo-pitch tournament and
dances.

B.C,' and Mrs . Garrnet (Edna) ' Diehl of
Hollmesville. He was predeceased by two
daughters. .
Also surviving are four sisters Jane,
Pearl; Mary and Lillian and five brothers
Ernie, Levi, Harr3r,:Peter and Rill. He was
preedeceased by one brother Nelson.
Funeral services_were pie don March 3 at
the Beattie Fu eral Home in Clinton. Rev.
James Bechtel, officiated and interment
followed in the Dungannon' Cemetery.

She is survived by five grandchildren and
four great grandchildren. She is also surviv-
ed by two sisters, Mrs. Leo(Mary)
McGlynn of Tucson, Arizona anMrs.
Frank (Effie) Churchill of Victoria, B.C.
and one brother, Russell Colclough of Clin-
ton.
