The Board of Trade of Prince George which is midway between the big country of Jasper National Park, Alberta, and the end of the Canadian National Railway's line at Prince Rupert, British Columbia, sent out a circular stating that a• party •in Los Angeles was making inquiries for a regular supply -of bear grease Which he proposed to, use for hair tonic. The party in question was not particular whether the grease came from black, brown or grizzly:bear. It turns out, however, that there was already a well. developed market for bear grease locally and shortly afterwards an advertisement appeared in the local newspaper which read as follows: "You do not need to send your bear grease to California. Local market will absorb all you. have. Write to Box 93." --Inas been prettreadl;his-winter-'but'stiil- we hardly think the circumstances justified the sending to this office of a copy of the booklet prepared and issued by the .Toronto Crematorium. It didn't appeal to us even on the, cp4dest,, day not being related to the 'famous Dan 14eGee. Fact is, it doesn't ap- peal to us anyway. When the time comes for us to pass from this mortal life we shall be forgotten soon enough without reducing what's left of us to ashes. We have no patience with this untidiness. It has always seemed to us as if Cinderella herself might have kept out of the ashes, even if she was obliged to stay in the kitchen and work. To look well while about house work is worth clear the floor, smoothly brushed hair, a clean collar and a plentiful supply of aprons are all withing the reach of any girl. Mr. Neil Brown, of the 9th con. of Tuckersmith; met with a sad accident on the evening of the 16th. Mr. Brown, along with others were or, their way home from Egmondville, and when near Mr. Cowan's the latter took hold of the reins to turn the horses into his gate; s when they turned rather suddenly and ran the sleigh against a stump, crushing Mr. Brown's ankle and foot in a most frightful manner.
