Bridal consultants and bride books recom- mend wedding plans be set in motion as soon as the engagement is announced. Wedding countdowns begin at least six months before the big day, but if there's a, year to spare, start then, especially when booking a reception site. • Six months before don't forget to: • Discuss expenses with all concerned and set a firm budget. This will determine the size and formality of the wedding. • Set the date and time of the ceremony and rehearsal with the clergy. • Select and book reception hall.
