MIDDLETON - On Sunday morning at St.
James' Anglican Church' Morning Prayer
was held with Rev. Reynolds in charge. The
Rector called the children to the front of the
church at the Altar and blessed the hym-
nals, placed in memory of the late Jeanne
Bennett. Following the blessing Lee-ann
Wammes and Julie Miller placed the hym-
nals in the church pews.
Also while at the front Leanne and Jeff
Wain received a belated Christmas gift.

and arthritis sufferers who together, meet

message and read the scripture reading.
Lynda read the Meditation from Living
message. Vera Miller read the minutes.
Lois Wise presented the treasurer's report.
Delores reported that quilt blocks are
done -`and a -bale-will be. -packed in °March;
Audrey reported on the Foster -Child and
read two letters from her. Audrey gave a
reading about a box social. A motion was
made to give Blanche money for her social
service. Items were gathered for St. Monica
House.

Margaret Middleton.

VARNA - After losing the first game
against the Super Blues of Hensall in a close
to 4 contest Friday night in the Hensall
lockey tournament, the Varna Racers
lever looked back. They went on to win the
3 trophy with wins of 4-2 over Hensall
)ldtimers, 5-0 over Grand Bend, and 8-2 in

In the game Saturday evening against the

AFFECTING THE TOWNSHIP OF GODERICH
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the County of Huron will hold a
public meeting on WEDNESDAY. MARCH 21, 1984 at 0:00 p.m. at the Gaderich Township
Hall In Holmesvillo, Ontario, to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendment under
Section 17 of The Planning Aet.-
The proposed Official Plan Amendment would provide policies dealing with the
interpretation of the location of natural environment areas; would add a "Natural
Environment (NEI)" zone to Lots 3, 4 and 5, Concession 1 (Schedule E) along and below
the top -of -the -bank; would correct the designation on Lot 4, Maitland Concession,
recognizing the Maitland Cemetery as "Institutional"; would change the northeast
corner of Lot 4, Concession 2 from 'Rural Residential' to 'Recreational'; and would
designate those areas with a licence to operate a gravel pet, which were not
designated on Schedule 'B', as 'Extractive Resources', as follows: Huron Road
Concession - Part South half of Lot 10; Concession 14 - Part East half Lot 21; Maitland
Concession - Part Lot 11 and Part Lot 72; Bayfield Concession - Part West half Lot 23;
Concession 13 - Part Lot 36 and 37; and Registered Plan No. 12 - Part Lot 4.
The purpose of those amendments Is to 'bring the Plan Into conformity with the
recently circulated zoning by-law.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal
representation either in support of or In opposition to the proposed Official Plan
Amendment.
