The Night Before Christmas
It was the night before Christmas and I
couldn't sleep a wink. 1 lay in my bed all
snug and pretty warm, counting the stars. I
was only at 29 when all of a sudden there was
a bang, rumble and crash.
I opened the window and threw up the
sash. All I could see was a pretty pink glow.
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick and
the pretty pink glow must be one of his nine
reindeer named Rudolph the red nosed
reindeer.
I ran downstairs and looked for a place to
hide, so I could see Santa Claus but he
couldn't see me. I had an idea. I'd hide on
the couch under the cushions. I got in my
place just in time, because as soon as I
pulled the last cushion, down the chimney he
came with a bang and a bound.
He was a jolly old man with a nose like a
rose and he had cheeks like cherries and a
belly like a bowl full of jelly. He started his
work by filling the stockings, hung by the
warm, blazing fire place. He looked around
the living room. He noticed a bump on the
couch. He ran over and pulled off the
cushions, I jumped up and said, "Hi Santa,
old boy!" Then I asked, "May I come with
you and help deliver the rest of the toys to
the boys and girls?"
Santa exclaimed, "It would be a big help
but how will you tell your parents without
waking them up?" I will just write a letter
that says Dear Moan and Dad I have gone
with Santa Claus to deliver the rest of the
presents to the good boys and girls. Please
don't worry. I will be home by tomorrow.
Sincerely, Richard, your son.
I taped it to my mother's bedroom door
Santa's hest elf
Would you like to be a Christmas elf? Well
I would. I would like to be a special elf, one
of Santa's best.
My name would be Zippitty because I
would be able to "Zipp" through my work
very quickly. I have a lot of jobs. Guess how
many I have. Fifteen. All the rest only have
five jobs. Here are some of mine. Painting,
carving, cutting and glueing. This is
something that really isn't a job it is sort of
like giving a gift to Santa. Getting his food
ready for him like cookies and milk, carrots
and cake. I would also give messages such
as", Love one another and take Good care of
your family. Remember you don't have to
have a lot of money to buy a nice gift for so-
meone. A kiss or a hug can never miss the
heart.

Lighting the way
Candle, candle burning bright,
On our window sill tonight,
Like the shining Christmas star,
Guiding shepherds from afar,
Lead some weary traveller here,
That he may share our Christmas cheer.

The best things about Christmas
I like to wrap presents. I like to put up the
Christmas tree. I whisper to Santa "My
name is Kirk. I like to give gifts. Plea I wood

and grabbed on to Santa Claus as he rose up
the chimney. I climbed into his sleigh. I
yelled out, "On Dasher, on Donner, on
Dancer, on Blixin, on Comid, on Cupid, on
Prancer and Vixon, and last of all but not the
least Rudolph.
When we were on our way I asked him how
many houses we had to go to. He said, "Oh
we only have about 50,000 -billion more
houses."
1 have one last question, "How long will it
take to go all the way around the world?"
Santa Claus said, "Well exactly from 12:00
p.m. to 12:30 a.m."
By now it was exactly 12:30 a.m. We
headed back for my house when Santa
yelled, "Oh no I forgot about Lee Lung
Chong!" Who is that?" I asked.
It's a girl in China who wanted a doll for
Christmas. He turned the sleigh around
almost instantly. The reindeer were running
at the top speed. In a couple of minutes we
were in China. We delivered the doll and
Santa took me home. I had a lot to tell about
my trip with Santa Claus. -Richard Randall,

Food, presents and people make Christmas special
My Best Christmas
The night before Christmas my mom and
my brother were away and me and my dad
were wrapping the presents. My dad told me
to get some newspaper. He told me to put
the newspaper in to the present. Then we put
a present into the present, and then the next
morning my brother opened the present and
he was surprised to see that there was
newspaper!

star wars men, It took us one whole day to
get there. We surprised my Gramma. We
opened our presents' early. There were a lot

Santa Claus tripped
My best Christmas was when Santa Claus
tripped over my steps. I woke up and said
"Who is that?" I looked around the corner
and I saw Santa taking a piece of bread. I
put a carrot out for Ruddph but he ate it. He
went out the door. I looked in my stocking
and I found a candy cane. Then I put it in my
room for the rest of the night. The End.

Waking everyone
I was four when I had my best Christmas.
I went down stairs before anyone got up.
Then I went to my mothers room and I
scared her. I woke up my two sisters and
said "Wake up Tonya and Jennifer and look
at the stockings." In my stocking there was
a whole bunch of toys. Then I turned on the
Christmas tree lights. My mommy and dad-
dy came down stairs at 8:30 to open the
presents.

The snowball fight
Once my brother and I went outside and
made some snowballs. Then I threw one at
our dog and he started to bark. Then we
started to throw snowballs at each other. I
hit my brother in the face. My brother then
hit me on the leg and got me back. I hit the
window then my mom came out and I picked
up another snowball and hit my mom by ac-
cident. My dad came out and gave any
brother and I a ride and it was fun. Then my
dad pulled us around in the tobogan.

Fake baby food
Last Christmas was my best Christmas
because we went to McDonalds for
breakfast Then we went home. Then we
opened the presents. I got a baby with bot-
tles. Inside one of the bottles was fake
orange juice, in side the other bottle was
fake milk. She could drink it. Also I got a
tambourine.

My Best Christmas
One Christmas at my Grandma's my Un-
cle Jerald's Can you guess what he did? At
my Grandma's there is a screen that you
can get to another room. Can you guess
what he did? He walked right through the
screen. Everybody laughed then. Then the
screen was to small.
Then Grandpa tried to fix it. Finnally the
screen was able to move. And everybody got
out.
The End.

If 1 was a Christmas Elf
If I was a Christmas Elf I think it would be
fun wearing green and red hats and coats
and floppy shoes. I would want my name to
be Pip. If I was a Christmas Elf I would
want to be in the toy department. I could
build trucks, dress dolls, hammer doll
houses, and train tracks. If I was a
Christmas Elf I would also like to serve San-
ta cookies and milk.
I would also want to wrap the gifts in col-
ourful wrapping paper, and on Christmas
Eve I would- get the reindeers ready for
flight. If I was a Christmas Elf I would not
just think of myself I would try and help the
poor, and the old people who need help, I
would like to help foster kids and injured
people in hospitals. If I was a Christmas Elf
I would remind people that Christmas is for
everyone. I would also find the true meaning
of Christmas and tell people who don't
know. If I was a Christmas Elf I would wish
you.a Happy New Year.
Sincerely

was there because I would be the smallest
elf there is. When Santa went to the houses
and in the chimneys I would run off and go
through the mail slot because I don't like
getting ashes on me. Sometimes I would go
into the house and see the little kids but I
would be very careful because I could get
caught in a box or in the wastepaper basket.
Then I would run into the kitchen and see if
there was any little crumbs. You see for a
very small elf a crumb is filling. Next I
would go in the sink and get a drink. Then I
would take a bath. After that I would prac-
tise my dives in the sink pool. Now I would
go and jump into Santa's pocket again.

A fat candy cane
I got a candy cane from Santa and it was
so fat I could hardly eat it. I got a brush for
Christmas. I wanted a crazy carpet. I was

I saw Santa.
