The choir and band put on an afternoon show for the concert spectators instead of performers. They enjoyed listening to elementary school aged children. High scorer was Glen Carter with 87. Charlie Brandon had the lone hand score of 7 and the low score was Dave Bernard with 54. There will be no euchre played on Dec. 27. On Dec. 15 in Darts, the high couple was Karen Greidanus and Brian Atkinson. The ladies high score was Joyce Cook and John Greidanus had the men's high score. The low score couple were Ceacilia Edgar and Jerry Cook. Your membership canbe paid at the bar and if you have paid your dues check with the bar officer for your card. Bingo will be as usual. On Dec. 18, the Legion ran their bowling competition with Bob Atkinson winning the Join the Vanastra hayride VANASTRA - On Dec. 24 the children of Vanastra are invited to go carolling by way of a hay ride, starting at 6:30 p.m. At 8 p.m. the candlelight service 'ill be held and everyone is invited to join in this celebration of the birth of Jesus. There will be no service on Sunday, Dec. 25 in Vanastra, but everyone is invited to join in the service at 10 a.m. at the Clinton Christian Reformed Church. Handel's Messiah on CKNX On Christmas Day, at 4 p.m. C'KNX-TV, Channel 8 from Wingham will air a presentation of Handel's Messiah. Two teams are entered in the zone bowling competition on Jan. 14 at the Clinton Lanes. The Legion thanks the Clinton News - Record for running Mr. Brooker's letter - Aid the Blind. It explains in detail their mis- sion. The Clinton Legion collected 90 pairs of glasses for this worthy cause. If you still have glasses leave them at the bar.
