A Christmas Poem
My mother once told me a story that
rhymed, a story 111 never forget; she told
me it twice and then agian and I still can
remember
This is how it goes:
Cis for the Christ child, born on this day;
H for Herald angels in the night,
R means our Redeemer,
I is Israel,
S is for the star that shines so bright;
T is for three wise men, they who travelled
ristmas experiences
far,
M is for the manger where he lay;
A is for the angels, they who sang so nice,
S is for the sheperds that came.

Santa's Night
The mistletoe
Hung in the halls
The firelight flickered
On the walls.
When down the chimney
Bounded Him
"Ouch!" he cried
"I hit any shin ! "
He looked around
In delight
When suddenly
Dear Santa came in sight.
"The goodies and milk,
Are on the table
And look for 'Ice cream! '
An the label."
And now for what
I want I at last )"
Santa took one look
And heaved a gasp.
"Greedy! Greedy!
Greedy! Gore!
He looked down the last
But there was more!
"Oh well," he thought
"Once a year!"
"It's nice to light a heart
Bring some cheer."
And so he filled them
To the brim
Ate the goodies
And wrote back to him
And then he turned
Off the light
And that is the story
Of Santa's Night !

The Night Before
Christmas
On the night before Christmas,
1 got in tny bed.
My pillow was too small for my head.
My bed was too small, my
P.J.'s were tight.
My sister got smaller.
It was a fright.
I went to my friend's house, we heard
noise.
Her mother was velline at the hnvs
I jumped out the window,
I could hardly fit.
I fell on the ground, found a dirty old mitt.
1 finally got hime, it was very dark.
Everything shrunk.
1 saw a shark.
I went right back to bed, with a leaping
bound, and never heard any more sounds.
Later that night something was on the roof, I
got out of bed like a crazy, old goof.
taMyCleyes were like jaws, when they saw San-
aus.
He filled my stocking with a brain.
He filled my brothers with a train.
My sister got a tiny doll.
I was almost sure that 1 would fall.
I wanted very much to say,
.'Santa, did you have a nice day?"
I went back to my bed, all of a sudden it
turned bright red!
I really tried real hard, you see.
But I couldn't get in it was too hot forme!
In two more hours I went to sleep.
a In the morning I started to sweep, I ended
up in a giant jeep! Kerri Gingerich
