At a loss as to what to give your child for
Christmas?
Why not start him or her on the road to a
collection that he or she will be able to enjoy
for years to come, well into adulthood?
Many a child, receiving a set of trains, is
started on a life-long hobby that is not only a
good deal of fun, but which can be financial-
ly worthwhile as well.
Many train sets accrue in value and, in
any case, are the perfect gift to be handed
down from generation to generation.
Books, too, are perfect hand-me-downs.
What you enjoyed as a child is probably just
as enjoyable today, and your child's special
favorites, culled from a more modern book
selection, are likely future favorites.
If you can why not give your child a few of
each? Select books from the shelves of your
neighborhood store and select books from
your own bookshelf.
Your child is likely to treasure those books
you have read and treasured, as much if not

Gifts for the handyman
If you know a man who loves to `putter' in
his workshop or yard, gifts of tools are
perfect.
There's a tremendous variety of garden,
building and `fix -it' items to choose from.
These range in price from 50 cents to as
much as you want to pay.
For j5 or less you can put together a fine
gift for the handyman! Fill regular glass
jars, labelled, with a collection of nails,
screws, tacks, etc. in various sizes.
Or, why not fill a box with an assortment
of miniature tools. (Smaller -than -average
hammers, screwdrivers and pliers are often
useful for intricate jobs or repairs in tight
places.)
Encourage children to select and wrap their own Christmas gifts for Mom, Dad and
grandparents. By sharing the pleasure involved in giving, they will double their en-
joyment of the day. Catch those precious moments with Polaroid's Sun 600 LMS camera.
Its Light Management System guarantees good exposures instantly to capture and
preserve the holiday warmth.
