FNJ1000III IhmmummoommiummilmiLimmummull Ern pr 1,u I wear a :,. ;.o ppy By Vicki Peek CRSS, Gr. 9 In my heart is a message Which I wish I could convey To those who died in battle In a land so far away. They gave their all that I might live In a country strong and free. I won't forget their sacrifice It means so much to me. I know little about the misery Or the suffering they endured. By the triumph of their battle Our freedom they assured. That they might be forgotten Was a thought they could not bear, So the poppy became a symobl Of remembrance, love and care. I am proud to wear a poppy Though it reminds me of their pain. I'm one who won't forget them. They did not die in vain. What is so important about November 1I? By Shelley Branston Huron Centennial School, Gr. 6 November 11 is Remembrance Day, A day to remember the war, While fighting for peace, some soldiers died, So freedom could reign once more. Flanders Field is the burial ground, For the people involved in the war, Red colored poppies cover the crosses, To symbol all the blood and gore. So just remember all these points, About Remembrance Day, All those soldiers fought for us, For the freedom we have today.
