Round Dance Gala
Round Dancers will
Converge. on Clinton for a
gala dance at CHSS on Sept.
24, starting at 8 p.m. Spec-
tators are welcome to at-
tend.
This event is really worth
seeing. The twirling couples
and the whirling skirts easily
bring to mind the days of
gala balls, just like Gone
With The Wind.
Penny Sale
And don't forget the
Clinton Hospital Auxiliary
Penny Sale. The final draws
will be made Saturday af-
ternoon at St. Paul's
Anglican Church in Clinton,
thesite of this year's event.
Have you purchased your
tickets yet? They're
available at a special booth
at the Library Park or at the
church on Rattenbury Street
East. At a penny apiece, the
tickets are definitely the best
buy in town.
Pancake Feast
On Sunday, Sept. 25 the
Londeshoro Lions will be
donning their chefs' hats for
another one of their highly
popular Pancake Break-
fasts.
The Lions have shown
their flap jack flipping
talents in the past and no one
goes home hungry from this
early morning feast. The
breakfast will be held at the
Londesboro Hall from 9 a.m.
to 1 p.m.
BIA annual dinner
The Clinton Business
hnprovement Area ( BIA)
invites all town business
people and staff to their
annual dinner, to be held at
the Clinton Legion on
Monday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.
Guest speaker will be part-
time promotional manager
of the Petrolia BIA, Charles
Whipp. Mr. Whipp is hired by
the Petrolia BIA to plan and
co-ordinate various ac-
tivities and promotions
during the year.
The Clinton BIA Board of
Management will be
discussing the possibilities of
having such a person for
local promotions and they
are encouraging all BIA
members to attend the
dinner meeting and hear Mr.
Whipp's presentation. As
well, the chairman of each
committee will present
reports, so the evening will
be an excellent opportunity
for Clinton business people to
learn more about BIA work
in town and suggest their
own ide 1s.
That' an example of some
of the nteresting events that
will be taking place in the
area over the next week. For
more information on up-
coming community events,
please check the Coming
(News -Record. There's
Events section of this week's something for everyone.
