Mr. Reeves comes highly recommended and perhaps many have heard him on radio or visited the Nursery, He will be talking on house plants and will try to have time to answer any ques- tions. It was decided to invite Auburn, Clinton, Brussels and Seaforth societies. The executive hope to have a good turnout of Blyth members and. anyone in- terested in plants is invited to come and hear Mr. Reeves. Please mark both of these dates on your calendar now and try to attend. Swinging Seniors to meet September 28 at 2 p.m. will be a meeting of the Blyth Sw- inging Seniors at the Blyth Memorial Hall. This is the first meeting of the new season. All seniors, all welcome to attend. Sunday School resumes The Blyth United Church Sunday School officially began its nety year in a special church service on Sunday during which awards were presented and promo- tions recognized. Both "Cross and Crown" lapel pins and Robert Rhakes' diplomas were distributed to those who achieved perfect and near perfect attendance for the past year, respectively. To members graduating from Primary 1 to Primary 2 (grades 3 and 4) `,`Good News" Bibles were issued. In addition, two extra - 'special accomplishments were noted. During the July Open Session of Sunday. School, four children .had perfect attendance. They were: Tina and Shane Burkholder, and Kimberley and Trent Richmond. Secondly, Mrs. Mary Wightman's Grade 5 and 6 girls and the Senior Boys class (Grades 7 and 8) led by Mr. Herb , Shannon, were commended for having had perfect Bible Attendance for 25 consecutive weeks last year. To these classes and the four children, awards will be presented Sunday, September 25 in Sunday School. Enrollment this year is ex- pected to be approximately 120, and all children ages 3 to High School are invited to at- tend. 4-H'ers pick officers The first meeting of the Blyth - 4, 4-H Club was held Sept. 17 at Debbie Craig's home. Members started the meeting by reading through the pamphlets. They elected the officers for this club in- cluding: president, Karen Phillips; Vice-president, Laura Hallahan; with the secretary and press reporter being filled on a rotating basis. Bridesmaids were Beverley Harrison of Goderich, sister of the bride, Karen Dunbar of Belgrave, sister off the groom and Sue Chisholm of Goderich, friend of the bride. Flowergirl was Megan Thomson of Sault Ste. Marie, cousin of the bride. Groomsman was Charles Hull of Wingham, friend of the groom. Guests were ushered into the church by Gary Hewitt of Belgrave, friend of the groom, Bruce Harrison of Sault Ste. Marie, cousin of the bride and Ron Ritchie of Blyth, brother of the groom. Ringbearer was Jeff Thomson of Sault Ste. Marie, cousin of the bride. Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held in Goderich Township Hall, Holmesville.
