ro nd in. 0 A playoffs
The first game of the two -
out -of -three series on
Saturday, August 20, against
Aylmer was held in Clinton.
Troy Falconer pitched a
strong game for the win with
Terry Cox pitching excellent
relief for a save. The team
continued from the last
series to hold a strong
defense against Aylmer.
The Bantams had a strong
hitting game. Travis Lyndon
hit three singles, Shawn
Lester hit a triple and two
doubles, Ron McKay hit two
singles and David Stevenson
hit a double. Clinton pulled
off a 10-9 win.
In the second game of the
series, Clinton ran away
with a 12-4 win. Terry Cox
pitched and exceptional
infielders backed Terry with
a conct•ete defense. Kent
Patterson, the Clinton third -
baseman made a couple of
great catches to save a few
runs from being scored. The
Bantam outfielders didn't let
anything by them and caught
whatever came their way.
Clinton also turned two
double plays.
Shaun Lester hit three
doubles and one triple, and
Terry Cox hit three singles.
Overall the team held a
strong defense combined
with a strong offence to put
them into the third round of
the playoffs.
