The bride's father W.A. Mun- nings conducted the wedding ceremony. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Alanoly of Montreal and the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Munnings of Clinton. The bride's sister Rhoda Munnings of Brantford was the maid of honor. A friend of the bride, Linda rwish of Montreal was bridal attendant. Andy McCa rty of Montreal, a fri of the groom, was the est man. Another friend, Matthew Palakal of Mont was an usher, along ith Ben Munnings of n, brother of the bride. Following the ding and reception at t Wingham Bible Chapel, th ewlyweds honeymooned Ontario before making ir home in Montreal. Hullett native di W. Ferguson Carter W. Ferguson Carter, 77, a resident of 100 McFarlane Avenue, Chatham, passed away at the Public General Hospital after a lengthy il- lness. He was born in Hullett Township, son of the late William James Carter and the former Lillian Ferguson. He had been employed with Mara's Bread and then General Baker` since com- ing to Chatham aid had been a resident of Cha ham since 1936. He was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Beloved husband of the former Millicent Mackrell; dear father of Janice and son-in-law Bob DeKoning of Wallaceburg; son Graeme and daughter-in-iaw Kathy of Windsor; loving grand- father of five grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Bert (Josephine) Sault of Chatham; one brother Ross Carter of Chatham. The 79 -year-old, RR 3 Kippen resident died at his home on June 28. He is survived by his wife, the former Florence Mabel Robertson and sons Jack of Hensall and Lloyd of RR 3 Kipper'. Also surviving are brothers Duncan and John, both of Kippen, and sisters Mrs. Grant (Olive) Love ?f Caro, Michigan, Mrs. Gra-0e McBride, Mrs. Bob (Beatrice) Dalrymple and Mrs. Doreen Baird, all ef Brucefield. He is also sur- vived by two grandsons Jim and Scott Cooper, bothge RR 3, Kippen. Mr. Cooper was predeceased by one brother Lloyd. Mr. Don Moffatt conducted the July 1 funeral service and interment was held at the Hensall Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were Laird Finlayson, Harold Caldwell, Edison McLean, John Sin- clair and Jim McGregor. Honorary, pallbearers were Ernie Whitehouse and Bob Elgie. Flower bearers were grandsons Jim and Scott Cooper. General Andres Puentes Vargas General Andres Puentes Vargas of Mexico City died in Toronto on July 1. He was 72 yeara old. The Ball and Falconer Funeral Home in Clinton was in charge of the July 4 funeral service and in- terment followed at Baird's Cemetery in ) Stanley Township. General Puentes Vargas was born on September 20, 1910 in San Pedro De las Colonies Coahuica, Mexico. His parents were Rosenda Vargas and Jose Puentes. He servitd as a general in the Mexican Army and was a member of the Masons organizatinn. Albert Wolff of Goderich died in Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich on Monday, June 27 at the age of 69. He was born in Hensall on December 30, 1913 to Charles and Clara (Haggitt) Wolff. He was a vacuum operator at Sifto Salt in Goderich and a member of the Salvation Army. He is survived by his wife, the former Mayme Million; one son, Marvin Million and -daughter-in-law Bev Million of Goderich; five sisters,. Mrs. Manfred (Myrtle) Cooper of Egrnondville, Mrs. George (Olive) Moir of Hensall, Mrs. Robert (Mae) Varley of St. Catharines and Mrs. Cyril (Helen) Coughlin and Mrs. Glenn (Shirley) Deitz, both of London; one brother, Harold of London; and three grandchildren, Christine, Tammy and Jason. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mrs. John (Edna) Hohner ' and Mrs. Norman (Edythe) Baird; and one brother, Herman. A funeral service was held at McCallum Funeral Home in Goderich on Wednesday, June, 29 at 2 p.m. Captain Charles Will of the Salvation Army officiated. • Interment was in the Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. Pallbearers were Hugh MacCrostie, Mery Holden, Gerry Lassaline, Jim Brunk, Jack Trebish and Ray Barker. Stan McDonald united in marriage Ann Elizabeth Elliott and Michael Howard Harris on June 11 in the Ontario Street United Church in Clinton. Ann and Mike spent their honeymoon in the Pocono Mountains and are now making their home in Kitchener. (Fitzgerald Studios photo) Plans revealed The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Canada has revealed completion of plans for a series of 32 district con- ventions of Jehovah's Witnesses in Canada during June and July. Arnold MacNamara, con- vention director in London, said approximately 110,000 persons are expected to at- tend the "Kingdom Unity" conventions scheduled in more than 20 cities. A convention is planned for the Western Fairgrounds in London. Harold McCallum, conven- tion manager, said 5,000 Jehovah's Witnesses from southwestern Ontario are anticipated for the meetings. The convention is scheduled for July 7 - 10. McCallum said the disuni- ty in the world is an alarm- ing thing to Jehovah's Witnesses. Reverend Pick is progressing favourably, but not able to be back with us yet. David will be here for the next three services. The choir sang an anthem and a sole was sung by Mabel Scott. In the afternoon, the Friendship Ministries presented a program "Sharing Christ" through music, puppets and drama. In spite of the heat, Marie Flynn and the Huron Strings were out on Monday and presented a fine program of old time music. This is the final program for the summer, but will continue again in the fall. Thanks to Marie and the men for sharing their music. Staff from the craft room had another successful Tupperware party on Tuesday. Whether it is the fresh air or the aroma of outdoor cooking, there were great appetites for the hamburg and hot dog roast, Wed- nesday, all residents who take part in the morning activities in the auditorium, gathered out under trees for a sumptuous meal. Hosting the event, were Jane, Evelyn and Clara. Ed Stiles from Goderich was out on Thursday to play the chapel organ Since some of the programs and activity have been dropped for the sum- mer, the column for Huronview News may be a little short.
