Yoneta.-The funeral ot the late Richard D. Young took place on W ednesday last, and was largely attended, evidencing the es- teem in which the deceased was held in the community. The remains were interred in the Exeter cemetery. Mr. Young WAS born in Somersetshire, England, in the year 1822, He mar- ried Mary Gould, in the year of 184.5, after which they emigrated to Canada. They settled on the 8th eon. of Mark- ham townehip, some time afterwards moving to Pickering, where they re- sided lean 1807 when they moved to the township of Stephen, where de- ceised continued the avocation of farming until 1870, when they retired and came to Exeter to spend the resi- due of their day.
