GOLDEN WEDDING. On Christmas
Day,Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harrison,
of Waterloo et. celebrated the fiftieth
anniversary of their wedding day ,sur-
rounded by their children. grandchild-
ren, relativies and friends. Avery
pleasant day was spent, in playing var
ous games, recounting old rendnisceu--
ces of childhood days and eating tur-
key and plum pudding. Mr. Harrisondo
was born in Yorkshire, England,
Oct. 19th. 1825 and emigrated g to this
country at the age of 23, while Mrs.
Harrison; born in Devonshire, Eng.,
on Feb. 5th. 1833,. came to Canada at
,
the age of 9,. They were married in
Beverly, Wentworth 0o., and at once
settled on . a farm near: Owen Sound,
where they commenced to hew out a
home for themselves, After residing
there for twenty years. they moved to
Huron Co. and latterly to Exeter
where they have been residing for a
number of years. The children born
to them were, Mary Ann, of Usborne,
Mrs. Samuel Holman, of Crystal City',.

THE LIMEY KEY -HOLDER -On the

out that there was c
Mr. Sweet and Mr. Rowe, and that
Mr. Rowe had simply rented the furn-
iture to Mr.. Sweet ter that purpose.
This is a. wrong impression. Mr.
Sweet purchased the farniture' in
Chatham, and the fact that Mr. Rowe
held the coarect key was purely his
luck in common with the hundreds of
others who held keys. Each key was
in a sealed envelope, as purchased by
Mr. Sweet. and no person hada chance
of handling them until given to a cus-
tomer. Mr, Rowe was surprised when
his key opened the lock, and. both par
ties assure us that neither had any
idea of Mr, Rowe getting the .furni
utre until his key removed the chain.
