The members repeated the Lord's Prayer and sang the carol, "Oh, Lit- tle Town of Bethlehem". Linda read the minutes of the last meeting, followed by roll call which the 23 members and one visitor answered with "What I would like for Christmas". The treasurer's report was given by Milena Lobb who also reported that a cheque for $25 was sent to the Fami- ly Services to help make a merrier Christmas for some needy family. Verna Lobb will host the January meeting which will begin at 12:30 January 6, with a pot luck dinner. The afternoon will be spent quilting the two crib quilts for the Davison twins. The Country Ladies were in charge of the program which consisted of contests, readings, two duets by Mer- vyn and Jean Lobb, a monologue by Roba Lobb and piano selections by pupils of Marlene Forbes. An exchange of Christmas gifts was enjoyed by all and then a delicious lunch was served by the town ladies plus Gertrude, Betty, Connie and Martie. Holiday Happenings Christmas has come and gone. Hard to believe isn't it that the month of December is almost gone. One would be quite safe in saying that everyone has had several good meals over the weekend. Luckily for the travellers, we had good weather for driving so no one had to worry over the road conditions. Since there wasn't any news last ,week, I would like to say a LATE merry Christmas and a very happy New Year for 1982 to all who help when I call for news. It was impossible to reach everyone to find out where they spent Christmas, but it seems to have been a busy time for all. Wayne, Lois and Fraser Tebbutt had two big meals on the 25th which they spent first with Mrs. Wright of Bayfield and then joined the Mallough family at the home of Paul and Pat Dockstader in Goderich. Bob and Marilyn French and family of four were at the home of Irvine and Edith Tebbutt. The Bill Crawford family were at home for the day with grandmother Crawford as their guest. Chicken pox invaded the Don Watson home, but Kerry was well enough to allow the family to join the Don Wat- son Sr. family on Christmas Day and Boxing Day was spent with Edna Oakes, Clin- ton. The Murray Forbes house has been rather busy with visitors the past week or so. Tom, Katherine, Dana and Lindsay Archibald were home , from Edmonton, Alberta; Mike and Sylvia Whalen from Delta, British Columbia; Brenda and a friend from Toronto. Christmas Day was spent at Murray and Marlene's with Connie, John, Christopher and Michelle Van Loo join- ing the rest of the family. Sunday, the family was at the Walter Forbes home for the Forbes Christmas. Paul Forbes was home from Grimshaw, Alberta and spent Christmas with Don and Marilyn and family. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Ashton, Clinton, Jim and Shirley Commerford and family and Rick and Carol Forbes were present also. Don, Marilyn and family joined with the Walter Forbes family on Sunday. Our house was busy on Christmas Day with Grand- mother Cuyler, Bill and Valerie Cuyler of Kincardine and Dave and Colleen of Belmore, Susan Lobb from London getting together for the day.
