But before Christmas it is very boring And gifts prices are sky high coring. You better buy them now and quick, Before the last hours go tick -tick -tick. Now on Christmas Eve you'll have a thought, Of candy cake and all things bought. Santa will come in record time. You night hear sleigh bells ring and chime. So when the day of fun is there, We'll get all ready to greet the new year. Jason Bennett, Gr. 7 St. Joseph's School Christmas On the snowy white street, Where the children all meet. Running home wtth,all their might, And saying to each other good -night. After a long day we go to bed, Hoping good dreams pop out of your bead. In the morning you find out, Your teddy is really stout. It is cer- tainly a study for one who really wishes to give and not distress or embarrass. No one is more helpless than the woman who received an utterly useless and un- desirable gift. She is fairly forced into falsehood and is obliged to express gratitude which she does not feet The woman who has a green parlor and receives a blue rug, or the woman who has a blue dining room and receives a set of doilies embroidered with purple violets, or the woman with a sallow complexion who is given a delicate pink shawl, is actually made to sin against truth. She feels, if she is of a naturally grateful and tender disposition, that she must express thanks which she does not feel. Then, ten chances to one, if it is not a struggle for her not to pass along those useless gifts next Christma's and fairly involve herself in a mesh of deceit, she goes about terrified lest by any un- foreseen chance the first "On earth peace, good will to men" And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. S - is for the star, and shepherds came from afar. I- is for telling, telling of God's love, M - is Mary his mother, dwelling now above. A - is for all of us, who should be happy, on this blessed morn. S - is for the stable, in which He was born. Through the bush, Through the town, Goes the little white snowflakes falling to the ground. So winter comes to an end, Spring is just around the bend.
