Christmas Joy
On Christmas it is a time of joy,
When everyone expects some kind of toy.
But before Christmas it is very boring
And gifts prices are sky high coring.
You better buy them now and quick,
Before the last hours go tick -tick -tick.
Now on Christmas Eve you'll have a
thought,
Of candy cake and all things bought.
Santa will come in record time.
You night hear sleigh bells ring and
chime.
So when the day of fun is there,
We'll get all ready to greet the new year.

Christmas
On the snowy white street,
Where the children all meet.
Running home wtth,all their might,
And saying to each other good -night.
After a long day we go to bed,
Hoping good dreams pop out of your bead.
In the morning you find out,
Your teddy is really stout.
Your mom and dad celebrate with a cheer,
Saying Merry Christmas and a Happy,New
Year.

The art of giving
Clinton News -Record
December 21, 1906
Giving Christmas gifts is
almost a science. It is cer-
tainly a study for one who
really wishes to give and not
distress or embarrass. No
one is more helpless than the
woman who received an
utterly useless and un-
desirable gift. She is fairly
forced into falsehood and is
obliged to express gratitude
which she does not feet
The woman who has a
green parlor and receives a
blue rug, or the woman who
has a blue dining room and
receives a set of doilies
embroidered with purple
violets, or the woman with a
sallow complexion who is
given a delicate pink shawl,
is actually made to sin
against truth. She feels, if
she is of a naturally grateful
and tender disposition, that
she must express thanks
which she does not feel.
Then, ten chances to one, if it
is not a struggle for her not to
pass along those useless gifts
next Christma's and fairly
involve herself in a mesh of
deceit, she goes about
terrified lest by any un-
foreseen chance the first
"On earth peace,
good will to men"
And there were in the
same country shepherds
abiding in the field, keeping
watch over their flock by
night. And, lo, the angel of
the Lord came upon them,
and the glory of the Lord
shone around about them:
and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto
them, Fear not: for, behold,
I bring you good tidings of
great joy, which shall be to
all people. For unto you is
bom this day in the City of
David a Saviour, which is
Christ the Lord. And this will
be a sign unto you; Ye shall
swaddling clothes, lying in a
manger.
And suddenly there was
with the angel a multitude of
the heavenly host praising
God, and saying, Glory to
God in the highest, and on
earth peace, good will
toward men. -St. Luke 2: 8-
14.

Often people are so
deluged by useless gifts that
memory fails them con-
cerning the givers. Such
mistakes are likely to occur,
and petty and absurd but no
less lasting, feuds are the
consequence. - from the

And when he comes he'll come charging,

Beside the trees so big so tall,
The beautiful white snowflakes fall.

Through the town,
