Punch and ap- petizers preceded the boun- tiful pot -luck supper. After dinner, the meeting began with the roll call ques- tion, "What woman in your life has most influenced you?" Most felt their mothers followed by grand- mothers, close friends and employers were the greatest influence. This lead into the program presented by Lois Fitzgerald on the topic, "Women Who Made A Difference". Lois chose a well-known Cana- dian, ballerina Karen Kain, as an example of a person who has made an impact. Thousands of little girls across the country practise ballet with the aim of becom- ing like Karen Kain. Lois read material giving in- sights into the personal life of the dancer. Following the program, the business meeting was conducted by President Vi- vienne Roy, with committee heads giving their reports. A thank -you note from Vi- vienne for the grandmother charm she was presented with was read. The members agreed to buy a dozen yellow silk roses to be used at rituals.
