Glen Carter, having spent
the past six weeks in
Seaforth and University
Hospitals. She is hoping to
return to her own home in
Londesboro before Christ-
mas.

Brent Radford fell on the
ice while skating on
December 13 at the Blyth
Arena. He suffered a con-
cussion and was a patient in
University Hospital in
London until Wednesday.
Residents of the village
enjoyed the Christmas
carols on Tuesday night,
sung by the Young People
and on Saturday night by
The Explorers.
There was a full house at
Hullett Central School on
Wednesday night to enjoy
theChristmas concert put on
by the senior band, junior
choir and numbers from
grades Kindergarten to 6.
Volleyball will begin on
January 6th at the school.
Ages 13 to 17 play at 7:30 pm
and everyone over 18 plays
at 8 : 30 pm.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Allen
accompanied by his sister
Mrs. Mildred Cornish of
Woodham, called on Sunday
afternoon at the funeral
home in London where their
cousin, the late W. Roy
Goulding was resting.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Duizer
held Christmas on Sunday
for the Hunking family.
Present were Mrs. Charlotte
Bell of Blyth, Mr. and Mrs.
Murray Hunking and
Bradley of Goderich, Mr.
and Mrs. Lorne Hunking and
Robert Koopman of Lon-
desboro, Art Hunking, Todd,
Tara and Joan Regia of
Exeter.
WI card party
There were seven tables in
play on Friday night at the
WI card party. The winners
were: ladies' high, Hazel
Reid; lone hands, Dora.
Shobbrook; low, Marjorie
Anderson; men's high,, Jim
Jamieson; lone hands,
Mabel McAdam (playing as
a man); low, Ted Fothergill;
lucky chair, Helen Lawson.
Lunch was served by Beryl
Reid and Ramona Jamieson.

Concert
On Wednesday, December
16th at 8:15 p.m. Hullett Cen-
tral Public School held their
annual Christmas Concert.
Several grades from
kindergarten to Grade 6 took
part in the concert. The con-
cert lasted until 10:00 p.m.
and was a complete success.
The Stratford
Art Gallery
Mr. White from the Strat-
ford Art Gallery visited the
Grades 5 and 6 on Thursday.
He showed slides of pain-
tings and people in art. It
was a great experience to
learn about artwork.
C.H.S.S. Band
and Choir
The C.H.S.S. band and
choir visited Hullett on
December 17th. The
assembly started at 2:30 and
ended at 3:00. The band and
choir played and sang quite
a variety of songs. Thanks to
the Central Huron Secon-
dary School pupils who took
part in the assembly. The
Hullett Central Student's
Council draw to raise money
for team uniforms was. also
drawn during the assembly.
Winners were as follows 1st.
Mrs. Donna Flynn; 2nd Rob-
bie Radford; 3rd Mr. Bill
Milison.
Band and
Choir Perform
On Friday, December
18th, the senior band and
junior choir visited Huron -
view and Heather Gardens
to present „a few Christmas
numbers. Everyone enjoyed
these Christmas songs and
again this year, was very
successful.
Community service held
A community Christmas
service was held in the
United Church on Sunday
evening and the church was

Anyone interested in playing volleyball
this year, it will be starting January 6th at
the Hullett Central School. Ages 13- 17 play
from 7:30 - 8:30, Ages 18 and over start at
8:30. For information call 523-4459.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Merrier, Becky and
Missy of Kitchener visited last Saturday
with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Merrier, Sandy,
Julie, Mike and Shelley and Mrs. J.
Merrier of Kitchener visited on Tuesday.
Mr. Allan Merner of Waterloo visited on
Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Crozier, Brian, Paul,
Kevin and Lori of Huron Ridge visited on
Sunday evening with her mother Mrs.
Florence Mcllwain and with the Merners
Bob Thompson of Western University,
London, John Scott of Guelphare at their
homes for the holidays.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
from the Merners and thank you to
everyone who has helped out, when Carl
was in the hospital and since returning
home.
It was greatly appreciated.
Cheery Cheerios Christmas
Cheery Christmas
for the Cheerios
The Cheerio Club held
their Christmas meeting on
December 16th at the White
Rose Restaurant. Fourteen
people enjoyed the hot beef
dinner and and Group 4 was
in charge.
Edythe Beacom welcomed
everyone and a get well
Christmas card was signed
for Gladys Armstrong, who
is in ilniversity Hospital.
Edythe thanked the
Wallaces for preparing the
meat
Beth Knox gave a reading
and the minutes of the last
meeting were reported by
Dora Shobbrook. It was
noted that the next meeting
will be held on January 20th
at the hone of Dora Shob-
brook. Group 1 will be in
charge.
The draw, donated by
Margaret Good was won by
Beth Knox and Vi Burns
gave a reading. Other draw
winners included: lucky cup,
Laura Sandercock; lucky
chair, -Ida Durnin; lucky
number, Laura Lyon.

Edythe Beacom for her

The meditation was given
by Rev. Wittick and
following the service a social
hour was held in the church
hall with refreshments
provided by the Londesboro
UCW.
The evening's collection
was taken for refugee Boua-
Vone Dunsamone and his
family, being sponsored by
the Christian Reformed
Church.
