The Huron District of the IOOF and Rebekah Lodges,
which is composed of a number of lodges from the county,
presented a special Resusci - Anne demonstration
mannequin to Huronvlew last Sunday. The $627 "doll" will
be used to teach cardio -pulmonary resuscitation. Left to

scoring, James Broadfoot
had the high single of 242.
Angus Hummel took the high
triple of 640 and the high

Thursday Night Mixed
With 47 points the Cookie
Patrol is on top and the
L's,J's, and K team is next
with 41 points, leaving
PA.B.S:D. thirdwith37.
The Sweat Bandits and the
Tryhards are "tied with 35
points apiece and Murray's'
Painters are close behind
with 34.
In the ladies' scoring
Phyllis Allin had the high
single of 238 and the high
triple of 605. Rita Leppington
had the high average of 178.
Jim Switzer bowled the
men's high single of 257.
George Collins had the high
triple of 651 and the high
average of 217.
Tuesday Afternoon
Ladies League
Castle's Cats have a slight
lead with 651/2 points, but
Mona's Apes are close
behind with 64 and Nora's
Eager Beavers have 61
points.
Bonnie's Pandas are
keeping the scoring close
with 60' and Betty's Little
Lambs are next with 59.
McCowan's Cougars have 58
points, Garry's Gophers are
next with 57 and Gibbing's
Giraffes are last with a close
55 points.
Gerry Mountford had the
high single of 264 and the
high triple of 685. Wonnetta
Holland bowled the high
average of 193.
Crown Mixed League
The Peanuts are in front
with 44 points, and the
Butternuts, the Chestnuts
and the Beechnuts are tied in
second place with 38 points
apiece. The Mixed Nuts are
close behind with 37 points
and the Nigger Toes are
keeping the scoring close
with their 36 points.
Elizabeth Foster had the
ladies' high single of 209 and
the high triple of 582. Marie
Collins had the high average
of 185.
Don McWhinney bowled
the best scores in the men's
division, taking the high
single of 294, the high triple
of 668 and the high average
of 229.

in our forests. Asa member
of a Conservation
organization, most of my life
I have never owned a gun or
a rifle. I also realize that if
the furry four legged
animals are not controlled,
there will be no room for us
two -legged ones who usually
aren't that furry.
The boys hope to become
affiliated with the Junior
program operated by the
Ontario Federation of
Anglers and Hunters. This
way maybe one or two of the
boys will be able to attend
their Junior Conservation
School (free) funded by the
Eaton Foundation. The
school is located at the Leslie
M. Frost Natural Resource
Centre near Dorset. Juniors
receive training, both
classroom and field trips in
such subjects as forestry,
wilderness survival, hunter
safety, fish and wildlife
identification, lake and
stream management,
canoeing, archery, shooting,
casting and much more. ,
While speakingof the
Federation, the Zone 6
quarterly meeting will be
held at the Western Ontario
Fish and Game Protective
Association, Southdale Rd.,
London on January 17-82.
At the Wednesday night
darts last week, Joe Rob-
bins, Joyce Cook and Don
Switzer teamed up to take
six points, whsle two other
teams shot for low and
received a point apiece.
The winners of the share-
the-wealths at the Sunday
bingo were Eva Tyler and Al
Kyle split, Heather Plum -
steel and Margaret Mew
split, and Betty Switzer took
one by herself. Mrs. Muriel
Byers was the jackpot
winner. The Ladies Club has
donated $100 to the Hospital
Fund at their meeting on
Monday night, and please,
don't forget )the supper and
dance on Friday night and

Gorlyn Andy, owned by
Gorlyn Acres of Holmesville,

wire to wire to post his third
win of the year at Windsor
Raceway on Wednesday,
December 9. Fractions for
the mile were: 30.1- 1:01.1 -
Presently in the Jack
Warner Stable at Windsor,
the three-year-old home-
bred gelding by the Bye Bye
Byrd sire John R. Rip - KSB
Chief by Irish Chief, was
capably driven to victory by
Kevin Wallis, who was filling
in for Jack after he suffered
an injury while playing
hockey.
Gorlyn Andy has earnings
to date of $3,169 and a pacing
record of 2:03.3 taken earlier
this year at Greenwood
Raceway in Toronto. Bill and
Cindy Rapson are presently
training three horses at
Goderich, namely Gone
Again Judy, a yearling filly
by Alert Bret - Travelling
Donut by Bye Bye Byrd,
Bandsman, a two-year-old
filly by the 2473,316 winning
sire Dream of Glory - Pachy
Tara by Florlis and Mork, a
three-year-old gelding by the
Speedy Count sire Steve
Lobell - Dixie Valley by
Harlan, Making him a three-
quarter brother to Dream'of
Glory.
Gemini Tide, owned by
Donald Campbell of
Goderich was a winner in
2:09.2 for trainer - driver
Randy McLean at Western
Fair Race way in London on
the New Year's Eve Ball

five-year-old pacing gelding
by Bye Bye Roger - Queenie
Tide by Governor Herbert
has also had six seconds and
nine thirds from 27 starts
this year for earnings of
$5,540 and $10,664 lifetime.
His record of 2:04.4 was
taken last year at Flamboro
Downs but he was personally
timed in 2:01.3 when
finishing third at . Windsor
earlier this year. Randy was
also fourth with Shiaway
Red for Frances Edwards of
Arkona in the fifth.
Dave Wall drove
Volleycreek Tarty, owned by
the Carter's of Blyth to a
second place finish in the
eighth. She is trained by
Paul Taylor at the Clinton
track.
R.J. Misty, a three-year-
old filly by Scram - Virginias
Misty, that breeder Bob
McLean of Goderich sold to
W.C. (Art) Lawson of
London was first in a dead -
heat with, Playball Express
in the ninth. She now has five
wins, one second and one
third from 20 starts in 1981
good for $3,698 and a 2:05.4
pacing record earlier this
year at Woodstock Raceway.
Will Knight finished
second in a 2: 05.4 mile for co-
owner -driver John Lester of
Forest and Ken Parke of
Varna at Flame Yeo Downs
on December 10.
At London on Friday night,
Parkhill Bowrey, owned by
Wm. Smith of Clinton and
trained by August De Groof,
finished fourth in a 2:11.4
mile in the second.
Victorious David, raised
by August De Groof, had a
second place luiish in the
fifth as did Jerry H. Direct in
the seventh and R.J. Direct
in the eighth. The latter two
originated at the farm of
Fred (Pete) Fowler near
Londesboro.
Kenmarou Castlee was
second with Ross Battin up
for Wayne Horner in the
ninth, while Miss Kelly Rose
was fourth for James D.
Taylor of Hensall.
Fancy Slipper, a four-
year-old mare by the Good
Time sire Fast Clip - Scarlet
Slipper - Scarlet Wave, won
in p, 2:06 at. Greenwood
Raceway in Toronto on
December 11 for Bill Bradley
and Lionel Kloss of
Goderich.
Bets Fly Fly was second in
a 2: 03.1 mile in the tenth for
owner Stewart McCall of
Seaforth.
Paper Blower, owned by
Robert, Kevin and Donald
Carter of Blyth and Ray
Ramsey of Camlachie,
finished third in a 2:01 mile
at Windsor Raceway on

Cape Deirdre won in 2:03
on Sunday night at Windsor
with Bill Gale up for the
Wayne Horner Stable, while
Sparky Philbrick, also from
the Horner Stable was third
at London on Saturday af-
ternoon.
Randy McLean won the
first at the same track with
True Mix in 2:11.1. On
Sunday afternoon at London,
trotter Marcliif Mille, that
Cliff Walsh of Brussels trains
at the Clinton track for his
wife Margaret, won in 2:11.1
for driver Ray McLean.
The four -year. -old gelding
by Ever Ready - Minidale by
Championdale now has three
wins and three thirds from 13
starts in 1981 good for $1,652.
There will be no more
races at London until Boxing
