Bonnie's Pandas are next with 561 points, leaving Betty's Little Lambs behind with 53. Gibbing's Giraffes have 52 points, McCowan's Cougars are close behind with 51 and Gerry's Gophers are in last place with 50 points. Lois Gibbings and' Nacy Roy tied for the high single socre with 230. Nancy Roy went on to take the high triple of 619 and Wonnetta Holland had the high average of 193. Thursday Mixed With 40 points, the Cookie Patrol is leading the way and the L's,J's and K team is second with 37. The Tryhards have a firm hold on third place with 35 points, and the P.A.B.S.D. team, Murray's Painters and the Sweat Bandits are fighting over last place with 32 points each. In the ladies' scoring, Cathy Riley had the high single of 222. Jill Jervis had the high triple of 560.and Rita Leppington took the high average with 177. Perry Daer had the men's high single of 266. Tom Burley had the high triple of 613 and the high average was split between Jim Switzer, Murray Bolger and Leonard Steep, each with 193. Wednesday Night Crown Mixed The Peanuts are the top nuts with 40 points, leaving the Butternuts behind with 36 points. The scoring remains close and the Chestnuts: have 35 points, the Nigger Toes are next with 34, the Beechnuts have 33 points and the Mixed Nuts are in last place with 32. Donna Collins had the ladies' high single fo 262 and the high triple of 659. Marie Collins had the high average of 184. Paul Cormier had the men's high single of 277. Bill Harris had the high triple of 736 and Don McWhinney took the high average with 230. In last week's scoring Laurie Miners had the high triple of 636, not Marie Collins as reported in last week's edition of the News - Record. Clinton -Blyth Ladies The Temper -Mentals are the top team with 60 points and the Dilly Nuts are second with 58. Linda's Loonies are in third place with 56 points and the Fearless Foursome are behind with 541'2. The H -P Honeys are close behindwith 53 points and the Frilly Dillys are at the bottom of the scoring list with 48% points. Bonnie Bearrs had the high single of 330, while Dorothy Carter had the high triple of 670 and Nellie Burkholder had the high average of 199. Tuckersmith Mixed Amy Gerrits was 'the top ladies' bowler, taking the high single of 246, the high triple of 644 and the high average of 215. For the men Ted Roberts swept_,e individual scoring with I high single of 249, a high triple of 598 and the high average of 199. In team play, Freda's Nutmegs are first with 56 points and Anne's Allspices are close behind with 55 points..Irene's Gingersnaps have 53 points and Grace's Gingers have 50 points, leaving Ann's Accents behind with 44 and May's Peppers in last place with 42. Seniors plan dinner party Twenty-four people were present at the Happy Gang Seniors Club meeting on December 1 and president Jean Scott opened the meeting, with Beth Knox at the piano. After a reading given by Mrs. Scott, Isabel Scanlon presented the minutes from the last meeting and the treasurer's report was given by Margaret Taylor. Elsie Shaddick thanked everyone for the card she received and Beth Knox collected money for tickets for the December 15th noon dinner catered to by the WI. Audrey Thompson was asked to contact Murray Lyon as to hall rental and the secretary is to enquire into "Grant" It was decided to have one meeting a month in the winter, on the first Tuesday, with $1 collection. Eight games of cards were played and the winners were: ladies' high, Myrtle Fair - service; lone hands, Vi Burns; ladies' low, Mary McDougall; men's high, Dora Shobbrook (playing as a man); men's low, Jim McEwing; lucky cup, Wilfred Glazier. Lunch was served by Isabel Scanlon and ElsieShaddick. United news Pot luck lunch planned The Londesboro United congregation waswelcomed into the church on Sunday morning by Edythe Beacom and Bert Lyon. Scott spoke on faith, its relation to Christmas, and the power that makes it go. He talked about the three miracles of Christmas, Mary's belief, a special kind of faith, and Jesus as a product of God. Explorers make crafts for. Christmas The Explorers 6th ex- pedition .was held and Lisa Spence and Crystal White did the Explorer Emblem. Deanna Lyon did the picture and $4.80 was collected from the offering. Theresa Overboe moved that that club have a Christmas gift exchange, with presents to cost under $3. This was seconded by Julie Merner. Burns UCW help others The Burns UCW met in the Londesboro Hall on December 2nd and a delicious turkey supper was served to 17 members by the Women's Institute. Following the dinner, Jean Scott opened the meeting with a reading and several Christmas carols were sung. Beth Knox read the scripture and Kay Konarski gave two Christmas readings. On behalf of the UCW, Mrs. Scott thanked the WI ladies for the lovely meal. Mrs. Rice was in charge of the business and the treasurer's report was given by Joan Hoggarth. A card was received by Ray McNichol. It was decided to donate $500 towards the kitchen floor at the manse and a donation of $100 was made to the Clinton Hospital building fund, and $15 to the WI for the use of their dishes. Gifts and Christmas cards will be sent to shut-ins. Following the meeting, members exchanged gifts and on behalf of the ladies, Beryl Reid thanked Mrs. Hogged) and Jean Leiper for the box of mints each member received. Shuffleboard held Shuffleboard was held on December 2nd and the winners were: ladies' high, Helen Lawson; ladies' low, Elizabeth Lawson; men's high, Bob Thompson; men's low, Clare Vincent. . The winners in the play-offs were Hazel Reid and Reg Lawson.
