The table was laden with many delicious choices of food. The winning team of Margret Middleton lined up to help themselves followed by the losing team of Verna Miller. Rev. Wane. Bennett said the Grace. Following the dinner a meeting of the A.C.W. was held with Lynda Steenstra leader in charge. Lynda welcomed everyone and thanked all the penny savers for their support. Lois Smith read a poem on Remem- brance Day. The Invocation was read by Lynda Steenstra and a hymn was sung with Vera Miller playing her organ. Lois Smith read the scripture and the meditation prayers were said by all. Mrs. Jeanne Bennett read the minutes of the last meeting and these were ap- proved as read. Vera Miller presented the treasurer's report. Blanche Deeves reported on sick and cards sent report and read a thank you from Mr. and Mrs. Heit- bohmer. A motion was made to send a donation to Day Care at Huronview. Margret Middleton thanked the ladies for the bountiful supper. A discussion was held in regard to doing catering. Captains for the coming year are Sarah Storey and Audrey Middleton; Striking commit- tee for the coming year, Lyn- da Steenstra and Lois Smith. Lois Wise is to be leader in charge at the December meeting and Rev. Bennett closed the meeting in prayer. A few tables of euchre were played while Vera Miller entertained with a few numbers on her organ which is always enjoyed. Holy baptism Morning Prayer was held in St. James Anglican Church on Sunday morning at 11:15 a.m. Following the opening of the service Rev. . Bennett baptized- Douglas James Miller infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Miller. Lisa Storey read the Holy Gospel and assisted Rev. Bennett with the baptism by lighting the baptismal can- dle. Four grandparents were present for the service Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cunningham and . Mr. and Mrs. Keith Miller. The Rector chose for his sermon, Fight the good Fight - of Faith. Jim Storey and Keith Miller received the offering. Following the Baptismal service Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Miller held a family gather- ing at their home. Happy Travellers The Happy Travellers Club would like to thank all those who went to the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. Those going on November 24 to the Poinsettia Festival please meet at the Clinton Legion by 8:30 a.m. and send your money in please December 5, Kitchener Market still a few seats; December 9, Simcoe Lights a few seats; Please book for Pre -Christmas tours to Frankenmuth - For those people working etc. a special bus to the Simcoe lights is planned December 19. Call Blanche Deeves for prices and information. People report Margret Middleton was happy to see her son George Early have the Grand Cham- pion steer at the Royal Winter Fair on Saturday. Visiting recently with Gramma and Grandpa Dutot have been Jonathan ands Jason and Mother Arlene Hills all of Cornwall. Congratulations to Lois and Edward Wise who celebrated their 30th An- niversary recently. Mrs. Fred Middleton is home again after having a visit with her daughter Bar- bara Grindley and family in London. Arena back in use SEAFORTH - Recently, con- demned and closed, the Seaforth arena was to be empty for the winter. Faced with a lack of storage for his corn, local farmer Ken Campbell ar- ranged to put the condemned building to good use.
