has ended the lawn bowling
for this season.
As the bowling is finished

Districts' and Clubs' annual'
meetings. October 7 was.
District 4 annual meeting of
which Clinton club is a
member. It was held in
Stratford.
Clinton Club sent two

held recently at Fanshawe
College for apprentices of
the Advanced Auto Body
Repairers and Advanced
Plumbers programs. The
ceremonies, which were held
on October 16 at the main
campus in London mark the
completion of the,,, apppren
bees' in college • training.

the Clinton Commercial
Printers last Monday, Oc-
tober 26 and found it locked -
there was a very good rea-
son. John Robinson and staff
were expanding their exper-
tise of the printing industry
by attending Graphics '81 at
the International Civic Cen-
tre in Toronto. They all
found the experience both in-
formative and interesting.

Former Clinton mayor Don Symons was recently elected Grand Worthy Patron of the
Order of the Eastern Star for all of Ontario. Beside Don is Mrs. Mary Barton, Worthy
Grand Matron.

The Junior Gardeners met
at the Town Hall on Tuesday,
October 20th, with 14
members present.
All went to the library
flower beds and took some
slips of geraniums, and Mrs.
Powell demonstrated how to
plant them in vermiculite us-
ing a rooting liquid.
Mrs. Powell showed how to
make Christmas cards with
the flowers they had dried
during the summer;
This was the last meeting
for this year, and all
members will be called as to
the date of our next meeting.

Orangeville and Clinton
chapters, and is . the first
from either chapter to have
been elected to Grand
Chapter. Mrs. Mary Barton
of Madoc was installed as
Worthy Grand Matron, and
Don will assist her in leading
the ,more than 30,000
members of Eastern Star in
Ontario for the coming year.
They will attempt to visit as
many of the 270 chapters in
Ontario as passible, as well
as being special guests at
many events.
This year, the Order of the
Eastern Star . gave 143
bursaries valued at $400 each
to young men and waren
involved in religious
leadership. Also, more than
$40,000. was given to the
Shriners' hospitals for
Burned . and Crippled
Children.
Among the more than 2,000
members attending sessions
this year, was Mrs.
