Pool heating costs cut KINCARDINE - The Kin- cardine and District Com- munity Centre and Recreation Board has taken two steps that will reduce heating costs in the com- munity centre pool. Three fans have already been installed and are now in use and a pool blanket will be installed on October 23rd. Ron Boulton, manager of the community centre feels that the additions to the pool will definitely cut heating costs. The fans will help to keep warm air circulating around the pool level instead of against the ceiling. Boulton also reported that the blanket will result in a 60 to 65 per cent reduction of costs to maintain the water temperature. central huron chronicle This week at CHSS University day was a huge success at CHSS last Wednesday. They must've been at least 12 feet tall and had fangs down to their waists! Their big eyes glowed in the dark and bugged out about a foot! They were screamin' and moanin' up a ruckus that you could'a heard ten or more miles away! Just then, Walt broke through the bush behind me, came over and those Indian devils took off like a bunch of out -house buzzards off a shot gun blast at 50 yards, scared deer at an all night pork par- ty. "Well Grandpa,, are you ready to go trucking?" "Sure enough, Walt baby. Ten four!" We woke Ethel, Conrad and Sumpy, jumped into Walt's big Western Star and headed forWhitehorse with a load of Chunky Soup. Smile Is there anything more embarrassing than coming out of your Memory Im- provement class and forget- ting where you parked the car? Randy Lobb was, the high scorer with 70 points.
