Have you bought your piece of addition?
' By JohnSeott
"Do you 'have your name
in the addition' !That's what
the newest sign at the Legion
asks. You can now purchase
pieces of building material
needed for our renovations..
A fullprice list is also posted,
so if you wish to make a
purchase, come on down and
sign up. Weekly specials will
also be posted. This week's
special is 2" x 6" studs at $3
each. Next week, 2" x 10"s
at $8.
We were represented at
the Zone C-1 meeting in
Seaforth last Sunday by
George and Lil Campbell,
Steve Maguire, John Deeves,
Gord Tait, and Harold B Lack.
It was announced at the
meeting that a Zone dance
will be held at the Goderich
branch on October 10. The
cost is $5 per person which
includes lunch and prizes.
Music for dancing will be
provided by Ian Willoughby
from 9:00 til 1:00.
Only 33 people attended
last weeks bus tour
organized by the Ladies
Auxiliary. While the turnout
was disappointing, all those
who made the trip had a real
goodtime.
Men's • euchre starts
another season on October 6,
and play will commence at 8
p.m. so come down a little
early if you can. If you have
played in previous years,
you know how much fun
these nights are, and if you
haven't played before, come
down and give it a try.
auxed darts starts tonight
(Thursday) at 8 p.m. sharp.
It's also a fun night for
beginners and novices able.
I don't know what came
over Steve last week. His
praise was glowing. He must
have had his tongue in his
cheek when he wrote that
piece.
Dave Pugh would like to
mention that there are still
several tee shirts available,
at $5 plus tax and are
available at the bar.
