Racing will continue at Clinton Kinsmen Raceway, for three more weeks. This Sunday, September 13th the Ontario Sires Stake for three-year-old colt tters will be featured at linton. Post time is 1:30 p.m. with three qualifying races going at 12:30 p.m. • The final program of racing for 1981 was held at Goderich Raceway on Thursday, September 3, but the weather didn't co- operate. A steady rainfall for much of the evening resulted in times ranging from 2:14.3 to 2:20 over a track which was first called sloppy, then changed to heavy. However, everything went smoothly with no a cc identss Fond Dream, owned by Harold Lamb and Jim Kerr of Goderich, won the first with Randy Henry up, while Jim Watt of Blyth finished third with his Harlo Champ and Ross Battin was fourth with Andes Jersey for Ron Kerr of G oderich. Utah Counsel, from the Wayne Horner Stables of Clinton, was second for driver Randy Henry in the second, while John Muir was third with Real Bay for Joe Decays of St. Pauls. Bill Woodburn gave Early Dol her first lefetime win in the third for partners William G: Baker and Robert E. Caldwell of Hensall. John Muir was second with Golden Henry for Laverne Robson of Dublin, while Randy Henry finished third driving Daddy Bing for Murray Weber of Teeswater. Ron Williamson was fourth with Paul J. for Girard Acres Ltd. of Thamesford in the fourth. Dinos Dolly had her first lifetime . win from three starts in the fifth with John Muir up for Gordon H. Kerr of Goderich, 'while Jack Duckworth took third with Charlie Windsor for Charles Allan and Ken Shelton of Goderich. Ted McLean was fourth with Deep Run Skipper, co -owned by his wife Alma of Goderich, followed by Ron Williamson driving Becky Hi for Joe J. Lane of Seaforth. Adorable Pat won her, second of the year with Randy Henry up for the Wayne Horner Stables of Clinton in the sixth, with John Muir second driving Noble Amy for Koop De Groot of Goderich. Verdun Vanstone finished third with Linlor Liz for Holmesville Valley Farms of Clinton ahead of Fred Jewell with Hills Dream and Ted McLean with Deep Run Super. John Muir gave Everlin her fifth win from 11 starts for owner -trainer Cliff Walsh of Brussels in the seventh, while Marion Borland finished third with Sparkle and Ross Battin fifth driving Josie Doo Little for Bill Bradley of Goderich. John Muir gave Hilea Ray his fifth win in the eighth for Ben Feagan of Goderich, while Dennis Jewitt took second driving Brittonia Guy for the Brit Can Stables of London.
