The final program of
racing for 1981 was held at
Goderich Raceway on
Thursday, September 3, but
the weather didn't co-
operate. A steady rainfall for
much of the evening resulted
in times ranging from 2:14.3
to 2:20 over a track which
was first called sloppy, then
changed to heavy. However,
everything went smoothly
with no a cc identss
Fond Dream, owned by
Harold Lamb and Jim Kerr
of Goderich, won the first
with Randy Henry up, while
Jim Watt of Blyth finished
third with his Harlo Champ
and Ross Battin was fourth
with Andes Jersey for Ron
Kerr of G oderich.
Utah Counsel, from the
Wayne Horner Stables of
Clinton, was second for
driver Randy Henry in the
second, while John Muir was
third with Real Bay for Joe
